I thought this deserved a new thread but if Mods feel differently then they can merge to the left hook thread.
See UEFA have announced this morning that Celtic are to be investigated by the Conduct committee for failure to control the crowd or something like that. Can't find an online link yet but it's been on SkySports News.
No surprise there, that was always going to happen. The interesting thing with Celtic will be what punishment they will get. October 11th is D-Day for learning that apparenty.
Of more interest UEFA have also asked AC Milan for comment and clarification on why exactly their goalkeeper was replaced during the game? Perhaps some appetite to actually take some action against the feigning cheat?

I don't think that Uefa should have anything to do with Dida, that should be left to Milan particularly as the ref took no heed of him rolling about, it did not effect the game in any way.
Celtic should keep their own council about him too and confine themselves to fighting what was a totally unacceptable action from one of our supporters.
We simply have no room to be critical of anybody.
I agree, it's all the old firms fault

Have to disagree here. Do you think our punishment would be as severe if Dida didn't "play act" This should be taken ito consideration aswell. I am not defending the fan in any way but our game needs to get rid of cheats like him before the situation gets even worst.

Uefa will take it into consideration I'm sure, we should not comment on it IMO.

he feigned injury to try and get the game abandoned similar to the Inter Milan quarter final when he was hit by a flare and the game was caused to be abandoned. He should be banned from the champions league for a minimum of a year to set an example that cheating will not be tolerated

I think actually he has made such an arse of himself that he's deflected some of the heat away from Celtic. The ramifications may well have been worse if he'd just got on with play and people were focusing on the fact a fan ran on the pitch and touched him rather than focusing on his acting.

He may get a ban, though his excuse is absolutely legendary and because of this he will probably just be censured and get away with a warning of his future conduct

Just seen the incident hahahahahahahahaha Dida big goalkeeper knocked out by a cheeky slap. He had a kneck brace and the lot lol. Seriosly though the Celtic fan rightly deserved a lifetime ban but Didas play acting should not go unpunished he was imho trying to get a replay and the game suspended which is trying to cheat the referee and Celtic. Think a three match ban would be too lght they should ban him for 20 matches just to make an example that it will not be tolerated.

Kaka says, 'Dida - you c**t!'
Paraphrasing slightly, but the fact that he's been mocked by fans and the press and condemend by his teammates may see Celtic getting off the hook a little.
The focus is now on Dida's dreadful playacting and the incident (from a Celtic point of view) will be seen as an individual's pitch invasion, nothing more.

I can say that I can't speak German in German but that's about all I can say in it.
I'm not sure why people think it's especially strange that a natural Portuguese speaker who works in Italy doesn't speak English but either knows how to say he can't or was coached to say it overnight.
He's a cheating twat but I don't think the "I don't speak English" thing is a reason to mock any further.

The best Celtic can do is just answer the charges against them and make comment on Dida's theatricals as they will be dealt with seperately by UEFA. The issue is that a supporter was in a position to cause harm.

Yup I'm concerned that the club, certainly our supporters have, get caught up with Dida and his playacting, Dida was touched by a fan getting onto the field that#s the bottom line for me, and thats what Celtic should be trying to mitigate, forget about Dida

A don't know about anyone else here, but 3 minutes after it happened I was completely bored with it. Everytime I hear people going on about it, I just want to yawn to the point where I get lock-jaw. 55 minutes they spoke about that inncident on 'your call' wae Jim Traynor.
Its incredibly tedious
