I think I mind King Smart saying Linn was a friend of his, can we sign anyone on loan at this time of year though? I'm sure he had a trial with the Rovers under Anelka who asked "who are you?" to him after he played a bounce game and scored a couple
how did bobby barr get on?

good job he did'nt sign for us then probably would have ruined his career playing for the rovers under Anelka
Good player, can't believe (no disrespect intended) that he'd drop down to division 3 when he's proven at 2nd div level, surely one of the 2nd div sides would be hunting for him too?

What does a scanner see? he asked himself. I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner like they used to use or a cube-type holo-scanner like they use these days, the latest thing, see into me—into us—clearly or darkly? I hope it does, he thought, see clearly, because I can’t any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone’s sake, the scanners do better. Because, he thought, if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we’ll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too.

If true, then I'd imagine that it wopuld partially be for family reasons but also for confidence sake - although he is proven at a 2nd division level, we need him to rattle the goals in for a side - possibly why East Fife are up there.

This should give O'Reilly a boot up the arse he needs to start playing like he did last season.

dont take him
i like him. he just hasnt been given a chance at morton, he always gets a chance when he comes on as a sub and if he got a run of games he'd score.
plus knowing mcinally he'll probably need him to play left back at some point during the season.

i knew it was only a matter of time before JM would play an outfield player in goal, part of me didnt want to believe it would ever happen but deep down i knew it would.

I'm gutted. He has never been given a fair go at Morton. Although presumably the main reason for his move back east is for circumstances outside football. Hopefully he'll be back next season after a successful loan spell.

EF offishul site just confirmed that Linn has signed until May 2008 on loan from Morton.
Quite scarey actually, maybe just too similar to McManus for them to play together but at least we'll have to keep the ball on the deck now!

2nd division player at best. Good signing for EF though.

if you don't win the league this season then you deserve severe punishment.

Fantastic signing for us
It gives us another option upfront in an area that we didn't have any real competition for places. 2 places up for grabs between McManus, Linn, O'Reilly, Gordon and Martin.

I go along with that.He didnt get a chance last season because McGowan was different class and this season hes been plagued by injury and family problems.Good luck Bobby, get out there and prove some of us wrong as it would be great to see you back at Cappielow but on the pace mentally and physically of the demands of first division football.

Hardly. We're not full-time and we don't poach players from the SPL. You're just gutted that, the first time in ages you've had a decent team, we're going to take the league.
As for Linn, sounds like a good singing, we've only been scoring 3 goals per game and I feel we need to improve on that.

Brechin were going to take Bobby Linn on loan plus money for Iain Russell but we couldn't afford his wages.
Oooooh Garry Brady....

Linn never realy been given a run in our team to prove his worth, which i think he should ahve been.
but putting a player out on loan with our squad size is a por decision, unless his wages are going towards a new loan signing
