The result was certainly a surprise for most Rangers fans, wonder what the odds were?

I have to say, Lyon were WOEFUL. Rangers were competent and intelligent- they kept things simple and worked very hard, but really they were not stretched at all. McGregor only had to make saves from shots of over 25 yards (I know Juninho can hit them, but not that well!).
If I were a Lyon fan I would be absolutely raging- some big names were seriously disappointing. Even Grosso, who was getting forward well, had no final ball. Baros could still be playing and he wouldn't have scored!!

Well, I'm certainly not going to jump on the "well done Rangers" bandwagon. Their knuckle-dragging supporters reminded me why I hate most things about the club on Saturday with their vile songs and flags.
I find it very annoying to see people mention the Old Firm's presence in the Champions League as a central aspect of the "feel-good factor" in Scottish football just now. The Scottish national team did superbly well to beat France twice and get into such a fantastic position. But that does nothing to change the Old Firm being the cancer of our game.
Call me bitter, but I hope Rangers get annihilated by Barcelona and end up finishing bottom of the group.
And before any Rangers fans say we should support all Scottish teams, I'm not going to support a team whose fans humilliate our nation by singing vile songs abroad.

If you mean the odds on Rangers winning 3-0; then you could've got 80/1 at Coral.

Just as a matter of interest, why has this thread not been moved to Scots in europe along with all the others? What team do the Mods support?
