I don't really think that a simple statement that 'we didn't play very well' means anyone is trying to look down on the rest of the league. While I'm quite happy with the result as I'm sure every Pars fan is, particularly so given the injuries, I'd be amazed if anyone who watched it thought that the Pars played particularly well. It's perfectly possible for people to pick out some good points after a loss, and so by the same reasoning, it should also be acceptable for people to state that the team weren't that good after a win.

Ah, starting to crap it after last week were you, in case it came to be that you would have to do your naked run after all?!
As I say, I don't think it's ridiculous for people to say they didn't think we played well, although admittedly a post near the top (with who wrote it not being a surprise) is a bit extreme.

We rode our luck against QOTS and you rode yours against us today. Fair's fair. It's going to be a long season, and from the sounds of it we're going to see a lot more games of this ilk.

and surely, again by the same reasoning, you should also be able to take some positives from a win? Of course a simple statement that we didn't play very well doesn't equate to looking down on the other teams but did you read the initial post? a bit over the top i think.

By all means try to find something positive as well. Other than the result, the only things I can think of are that the defence did quite well in the second half and kept Partick out pretty comfortably, and that Stephen Simmons had his best game for a while. As I said earlier, it's a start, and all teams who are struggling as we have done recently will likely need a scrappy win to get them going.Hopefully it will lead on to better things, but on it's own yesterday's showing was nothing to be particularly excited about.

Jim McIntyre finally got a run out.
Hopefully he'll get a game on tuesday tohelp sharpen him up.
As soon as he's fully fit we can lose Hamilton.
I thought Wilson was immense for us despite being a week or so off being fit (according to what he told me after the game).
And young Nick Phinn was totally knackered after the game. Remeber we played 200 mins of footy in midweek and some of them ran outta steam with 15 mins to go.

I'll start either worrying or getting excited after the next two games.

Thank for the congratulations wee team fan. Milk it while you can. The DA will still be in the SPL next season. Just wait and see. Bookies are very rarely wrong.

A: McManus was totally knackered and it was our 3rd sub and
B: Hammy stayed on to win defensive headers in our box. Which he did plenty times and we should be grateful he was there to do it, otherwise SK would be critisied for not shoring up the win.
Thistle did very well second half and although neither team created much, we finally got a bit of luck and held on for a much needed win.
Have to say I expected more Thistle fans to come through??? Ah well, best of luck this season PT.

Added to that are Jamie Harris as well as Owen Morrison - who would have come on if we hadn't been forced into 2 half time substitutes. Plus McManus, McIntyre and Thomson aren't fully fit.
We should still be playing better stuff but as soon as I heard the news of the half time subs, I would have happily taken 3 points and a 1-0 win at that time.

I'd start McIntyre on Tuesday, even if he can only give us an hour or so.
And now we are on song,
For we're the Pars, Dunfermline Athletic,
And we'll go marching on.

Well, they had us as favourites for the league.....
You make some of the Rovers fans on here look like Einstein. And yes Socks, I am beginning to worry about my pledge about the Pars
