The only difference in all these really is that you're giving the club's names in their native language, rather than the English translation. If I remember rightly, Sporting Lisbon's proper name is Sport e Lisboa btw.
Glasgow Vs Stuttgart Ve are sinking zat Glasgow are a vewy good side.....

I wish they were called 'Glasgow'.
I support Falkirk because they are my local team.
People obviously support 'Glasgow' for other reasons
which become more apparent when the geographical link has no relevance.

Yep, just another example of the rampant anti Catholicism within these Japanese computer games companies
Perhaps it was my "rampant paranioa" and "victim complex" etc. but it used to make me bristle even then. Not saying that it was sectarian or discriminatory, just that it seemed to give precedence to the huns over us.
The unrealistic and insulting portrayal of Aiden McGeady in the Football Manager series is even less easy to justify IMO

At least this is a factual-based geeky tangent as opposed to folk using religious quotes and petty insults to score points (I probably don't need to give you any clues as to who
)

Maybe if they amalgamated they'd have half a hope of winning the Chumpions League and getting into the Premiership.

To be fair though, Rangers are the bigger and better club. They had to give precedence to one, and it was obviously going to be to the better one. The most successful football club in the world or something, are they not?

Well in the 90s some people could have been led to that eroneous, in fact ludicrous conclusion by stuff like this. Especially because the game was played by many children who perhaps might not have known better.
I probably wouldn't be as worried now - since we've overtaken them on the balance sheet as well as the pitch.

I've just tippled that you are, in fact, at the wind up. Fair play.
Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.
