Quick question, was the ex-Caley manager ever on Celtic's books at any point in his playing career? Remember hearing an interview on Radio Scotland a few months back and (I think it was) Chick "I'm a Buddie, honest" Young who made mention of it when we played them. Also any stats for Davie Moyes and Jim Duffy when they were at Celtic would be much appreciated.

Christie signed for Celtic from Inverness Thistle during the 1987-88 season and was still registered for 1988-89.

Jim Duffy was on the books of Celtic for around 3 years having signed around 20 years of age from Maryhill in 1979, but never made a first team appearance. He signed for Morton in February 82.

Davie Moyes did play for Celtic at first team level, making the following appearances for Celtic:

1981-82: Celtic (15+4) (3+1) (1)
1982-83: Celtic (4+1) (5) (1+1)

He left to join Cambridge United early on in the 1983-84 season, beginning a long association with English football, broken only a 3 year spell back in Scotland in the early 1990s.

He was leading scorer in Celtic's reserve team. Apparently he suffered from homesickness and had Andy Walker and Frank McAvennie ahead of him so in the days before six subs no the bench and squad rotation he couldn't get in teh side.
