I've decided to be the one to start this thread. I've never been scared of masochism. :(

So - is there anybody who realistically thinks we'll even compete with Rovers? Our bench is better than the favoured ex-Stranraer shite that's in the team, the talented midfield watches the ball drift over their heads, Hamilton and Dunn are completely ineffective, Watt is a total let down.

I'm going for an easy 3-0 win for Rovers, and hopefully red cards for Hamilton and/or Dunn, as it's the only way they won't play next week however poorly they perform.
Gonna take that tiger outside for a ride

I obviously havent seen Ayr play this season yet but if what the majority of Ayr fans say about them using the long ball all the time is true I'm pretty confident we'll win as Marv will have a field day.

Providing we get the ball on the ground and use the speed and skill that we have in the team.

I think we'll score 1 but they'll score 2 more than that as they wander about unchallenged in midfield.

If Ayr are to play a long ball game next next saturday then i'd be in extreme doubt of Watt's tactical abillity. I don't think we'll pick up easy points against Ayr, no matter what anyone else says. Hopefully we have the sense to play the ball on the deck and try to get an early goal.

I would think that Watt will have more sense than play a long ball game against us, because Marv will win everything in the air.

When I saw Ayr at the end of last season the played ok and we didnt win hands down. I'm not expecting it to be much different on Saturday.

I'm in an optimistic mood this week

So I'll go for a scoring draw.
Here for a year, we're only here for a third year

Thats because we beat you 1-0 last time you played us.

Unless you were referring to your 2-0 win at Somerset in February..which i don't remember as i was working that night.

Oh don't worry, there are 1000 or so (fast dwindling) Ayr supporters who are very much of that opinion!

"TWatt" will persist with his long punt up the field which will be gobbled up by Andrews in a resounding 3-0 victory for the home side!

Don't think it'll be 3-0..i still think we'll score as Marvs lace will catch on his deckchair at least once and he'll trip and williams will run through and score.

Excellent, plenty of dodgy decisions for us when we play Peterhead, Berwick and Brechin :whistle

Only team Ive seen us benefiting from dire refs is against Alloa - we've ripped them off a couple of times in the last two seasons. Hard to believe theres a team ref's hate more than us <_<

I can see disaster here unless we raise our game from last weeks performance. We need to create more chances and we also need to finish them (Graeme Weir  ). I would like to see Sloan given a shot in the middle of the park in place of Davo. He was poor on saturday.

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre must be at a loss to explain the succession of goalkeeping howlers he's witnessed from the frazzled Pars this season. I'm picturing a scene akin to Basil Fawlty whacking his car repeatedly with a branch after deciding "enough is enough!"

What are you lot on about? Referees hate loathe and detest Ayr! We after all, don't have shiny plastic seats in great abundance.

This evening against "the good old Harry Wraggs" will prove it beyond reasonable doubt I'm sure!

I'm sure most fans of most teams feel ref's despise their clubs.

People seem to be assuming that we will walk this one, but I don't think we will. I reckon we'll win, but it'll be close.

1-0 to the Rovers in a turgid game.

If you read the Ayr fans comments then I completely doubt we will vote for ourselves. Anyway I think we might be able to snatch a point in a dour game <_< .

General consensus seems to be it'll be a shcoker of a match, so is this what Ayr do to teams?

I said it would be like that myself due to our inabilty to perform in the league :(

went for a draw - thats based on the scenario that we have'nt improved since saturday and that Ayr are as bad as people say..... it's gonna be fun
What does a scanner see? he asked himself. I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner like they used to use or a cube-type holo-scanner like they use these days, the latest thing, see into me—into us—clearly or darkly? I hope it does, he thought, see clearly, because I can’t any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone’s sake, the scanners do better. Because, he thought, if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we’ll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too.

You guys really know how to talk up your clubs...i am sure neutrals from all over Scotland will be flocking to Starks Park after reading your build up of the game.. ;) ...I also think Ayr supporters might be at it here!!
4 BOYS HAD A DREAM. TO START A FOOTBALL TEAM. THEY HAD NO MONEY,NO KIT,NOT EVEN A BALL. THEY STILL CARRIED ON.
THE RANGERS WERE BORN. AFTER 54 TITLES WE'RE STILL GOING STRONG

I've seen many a one-sided (or maybe one -eyed) referee.

Yeah I think they are at it, long as we turn up we will win but play anything like we did against Cowden or County and Ayr play as poorly as they have been then this could be a wonderful advert for second division football

Put money on a 5-4 thriller now that I've said that ;)
