But i suppose it's one thing skelping ICT at home and another taking on what can only be described as a very average European side away from home with Celtic's horrendous away record.

Last 16 twice, and just failing to get there last three seasons, also spent millions of pounds close season, aye very average
Do well to get anything from our three aways

I would say with the possible exception of Milan they should be looking to win all their home games and at least one away.

While I like all teh optimism I'd be surprised if we take anything from the aways games, these are very good teams we will be playing ...still football is all about optimism

Shaktar are no better than Spartak, however we hung on by our nails in that game, maybe the same will happen. Don't think we got the credit that we should have by beating the Russians, the Ukrainians will be just as difficult

They have a far better chance under Strachan than they ever did under the tactically inept Lazybones, who only knew one way to play

I am confident that we can get at least a draw against Shahktar. They're a good team but so are we. I'd wager Scotty Broon is better than any of their midfielders (though I admittedly have no idea who any of them are) and I fancy our defence can cope with 31 year old Lucarelli. He's a good player but so is Stephen McManus. At the very least that'll be an interesting contest.
I remember Castillo from the Copa America and he looks as though he could be the dangerman. But he's not any better than Kaka so most of our team will have faced better.

It's certainly indicative...celtic are better than Albion Rovers because we have money and they do not, take Gretna for instance. Still I take your point, even a team with better players do not always win, look at the performances of O'Neill's teams
Still think if we get anything from teh away games they will be doing better than I expect.
Still come the hoops

They will win all there home games but will not do too well away but there not in a group with the best of teams so 3 home wins will see them 2nd.
