Morning Shire fans, Been a wee while since my last visit to your parish but can you tell me if you still have the two turnstilles to get in, where the best place is for a pre game beverage that allows football colours in it (a bit of a hassle last time i was up a few years ago), are pies available at the ground in reasonable amounts, Club shop - is there one now? and do you get clamped if you park in the supermarket around the corner these days?

Cheers ears ;)

There is a hotel 5 mins walk away that we go to and they bring out sandwiches for the drinkers!

Gary, the regular places outside to drink are the Gordon Lounge (10 mins walk along Thornhill Rd in the direction of Grangemouth Rd or right as you come out of the gates) or you can go `up the town` to the Ale house (upstairs in `behind the wall`), the Goose (across the road from Asda) or Elliots (across Graham`s Rd from big Tesco`s). The shiretrust are now doing the catering at the pie hut and the pies are from Johnston`s the butcher and are pretty good - get one early to avoid dissappointment! The trust also run the club shop which is just 1 door along from the pie hut. I hear there is to be a new supporters bar in the ground for members opening that day which costs £5 for the season so I don`t know how useful that will be for you - apparently members can sign non-members in for £1 so I`m told.

Cheers Gull and of course to LM, all information, jotted and ready for the game. Quite looking forward to the match, always enjoyed visiting the Shire in the past, nice to see the club on its feet and striding.

TT has a point there. If you are driving up, best place to park would be the streets adjoining Firs Park, or at the cinema end of the retail park.

I've heard a few stories of clamping in the past.
The only way is up.........babyyyyyyyyy

No, you are not wrong. Clamping is illegal on private land in Scotland.

What's the chances of the Shire making it 7-in-a-row this weekens then? The bookies are offering a rather measly 11-10 which is almost unheard of in Shire terms and one to avoid I reckon.

Any clues? Are Gerry B's Stranny boys really a 11-4 shot??

11/4 Seems pretty decent although we are yet to win away from home. Most of the players out through injury or players that had been carrying knocks should be back in the squad. We are playing decent football in pell during games and in Michael Mullen we have a forward with real pace who knows where the net is. Goals in this game 3-2 Stranraer as we leapfrog the Shire.

I predict the wheels to start falling off the wagon for the Shire tomorrow and their fans will resort back to getting their kicks from licking windows.

You really are a fud aren't you..... Your local team, the ONLY team to actually play in f*lk*rk and you can't even bring yourself to be happy for our recent success.

And people wonder why the lower division supporters consider SPL supporters to be monkey spankers!

Can`t see a problem, but there is a £5 yearly membership to join. So a couple of pints will cost you a tenner. Although have 15 pints and the membership fee starts to become negligible.
