the point being if you are not good enough to score at home then your time in europe will be quick, which Both OF teams will soon find out.

So how do you explain the example I used ? The European Champions ? Their time in Europe was longer than anyone else's.

Milan, who blew ALL sorts of chances in their group stage.

They were a lot more critical in the knockout stage, apart from the semi final against Man Utd.

But Milan are not the OF, they invest in their team and go after real good players, ok the missed a few sitters, but they stay consistent and are near the finals in europe almost every year.

Yes, and Celtic don't have the quality to match them. Not because of GS, but because they play in the SPL. It's that simple.

If Celtic had more quality than they have, then they'd be doing better under GS than they currently do in Europe. As it is, they punched above their weight last season and didn't look too bad doing so.

Gravesen was the only Celtic player who didn't look out of his depth when it came to the midfield and attack. They were outclassed by BETTER players. Milan had the likes of Kaka, Seedork and Maldini. This is what Celtic are up against. Do you honestly think Strachan can get players of that quality ?

He's brought in Scott McDonald, who's looking like someone who will be VERY handy through the season. He's also brought in Brown and Donati who are making a mockery of the entire SPL at the moment. The jury is out on their European credentials, but Brown was terrific off the bench for Scotland against strong opposition, so he should be good enough.

Boruc who has been nothing short of brilliant. Lee Naylor who showed his true worth that night in Milan.

McDonald looks good but his finishing leaves for a lot of improvement, should be in the reserves.
Boruc is Brilliant.....Naylor is a liability. Donati has experience.....Brown is over hyped, won't amount to anything special like Larsson?

His goal got Celtic through. He gets enough chances that he's going to put one away. You need that sort of player on the park.

Naylor isn't a liability. He'll have a bad game, but it doesn't come along a lot. Infact, it's about as rare as seeing a white arsed baboon.

Once again you compare Brown to Larsson. It's as if you WANT him to be a failure.

He's also daft enough to try and compare two completely different types of player.

I just don;t want Celtic spending 4 million quid on someone avreage. Naylor is a liability, he could defend a corner store.

Really ? Naylor was one of two reasons Milan only won 1-0 against Celtic. The other was McManus. If he can defend against the likes of Kaka and Inzaghi, I'm sure he's more than good enough to grace the green and white hoops of Celtic.

Naylor is so slow he look like an instant replay all the time. Like strachan in his playing days, maybe thats why GS likes the man? McManus has his moments and a bit more stable. He's worth keeping on.

I wouldn't say he's THAT slow. He certainly doesn't have an abundance of pace at his fingertips, but he really doesn't need to have it either. When he does attack, he can usually do so effectively.

When he defends, he does so quite well. He had a howler by his own standards against Spartak and still had some really good moments in that game.

I expect a Celtic team on a euro night at home to come out attacking no matter who they play, bit it Spartak Moscow, Juventus or Liverpool....and against Moscow they played a slow dull game that was of italian style, who need that. Naylor may be a good player in time,

The Uefa cup is what the OF will be aiming at as both side have no chance in the CL group stages,
based on this week perfromances. Both of Glasgows big two will be slaugherted by their european
opponents and will lead to the firing of both managers, if we're lucky.

shite, celtic can get there, but rangers will do best by reaching the uefa
