here's the pots (roughly - and based on seeded teams qualifying tonight):
Pot 1 - AC Milan, Barca, Liverpool, Inter, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Chelski, Manure
Pot 2 - Valencia, Lyon, Porto, Sevilla, PSV, Roma, Benfica, Ajax
Pot 3 - Werder Bremen, ra Shellick, Schalke ,Stuttgart, Steaua Bucharest, CSKA Moscow, SP Lisbon, Lazio
Pot 4 - Marseille, Rankgers, Shakhtar, Besiktas, Olympiakos, Anderlecht, Dynamo Kiev, Tampere (ahem, Rosenborg)

So, assuming ra Shellick get there, I'd like to see:
Barcelona, Roma, ra Shellick, Marseille
&
AC Milan, Valencia, Werder Bremen, Rankgers

Mibbees get a wee bit of null points going on :)

But Sevilla haven't qualifid and can't do so until Monday.
If AEK Athens win they'd go into Pot 4 methinks.
This is a right balls-up.

I think Uefa are giving AEK the same seeding as Sevilla for the draw, placing them in Pot 2, as well as ensuring that neither is drawn against Spanish or Greek opposition.

But AEK would be a shockingly bad 2nd seed. :o

I think Uefa should fix the draw to allow the team that tops pot 3 be in the same group as Sevilla/AEK. That way, if Sevilla qualify, then there's no change really. But if AEK qualify, then the top pot3 team stays in pot 3 (which would be a bit shitty), but is compensated by being grouped with a pot 1 team and two pot 4's.

Who's top of pot 3 btw? ;)

confirmed that Uefa have given AEK the same seeding as Sevilla. Someone could be getting an easy group.

If AEK get through, I think both Celtic and Rangers, and indeed the Scottish clubs in general that rely on OF co-eff points for seeding, have good reason to feel aggrieved as both top their pots and would've moved up in the event of an AEK win.

No matter who we get it'll be a difficult group. I don't think it's impossible that we could progress though, but it would be a hell of an achievement if we do.

From the top pot, I've always wanted to see Madrid or Barca play in the flesh, so I'd like one of those two. Can't be arsed drawing an English team and all the "Battle of Britain" shite that goes with it.

True, only because you've been lucky/unlucky enough to be drawn against them a couple of times over the last few years. The two Spanish giants are about the only two teams left on my "wish list" of European teams that I haven't seen yet.

I just don't want any of the English mob, as we get enough of them on Sky as it is, and Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool bore me to tears.

If I was a Person, I'd like to see:

Arsenal, Werder, Marseille, Rangers

As I think Rangers could get 2nd place in that group if they're lucky.

If I was a Victim, I'd choose:

Arsenal, Werder, Celtic, Olympiacos
Ol' Hick'ry said we could take them by surprise if we didn't fire our muskets 'til we looked them in the eyes

However the draw pans out, both of them will do very well to get into the UEFA cup. I'd like to see both get through or both failing, the successful club's supporters would be unbearable if they had an edge on the other lot.

Amend that to say ........ even more unbearable than usual.
