I hope all you 'big team' fans are happy....The Accies are on fire. Of course, this will all end we go there on the 15th September  , but I reckon the SPL side next season will be the Accies from Hamilton. I hope they do, as Johnny Brogan is an Accies and Albion legend, and they also have the better fan contingent on P&B than most of the 'challengers'.

'Mon the Accies. :D

Ha fecking ha. If we go up, we'll be playing our SPL games at NDP.

How's the view from 9 points behind us?

Not a problem for us, Ronnie McDonald told the fans at a meeting before the CC tie against Ayr that the club have plans to upgrade NDP to the 6,000 capacity SPL standard before the 31st March deadline should that necessity arise, same sort of plans should the SPL demand a grass pitch.

A lot of them seem to have a bit of a grudge against Thistle.

Lambie was apparently a 'judas' (erm since when were we big rivals?) and they are still quite bitter over losing out on promotion to us which was FIFTEEN years ago.

Well they at least show signs of it.

Just a thought, I haven't been to NDP in over a year and my memory is a bit hazy :guinness.

Where would any new stand be built?? I would assume it would be behind the other goal becasue there didn't look to be much room opposite the main stand due to the proximity of the supermarket.

I might be way off here.

im sure theres plenty of room on both sides, bear in mind they only need 1000 seats built.
We'll follow the the Thistle for many a day
And see all the matches at home and away
And when the game's over and Thistle have won
We'll go to the Tavern to join in the fun.

You'll build a seated cover for less than 100 fans it you're in contention?

We normally wait till December to let a team get that far in front so quite premature TBH

I think that Dundee are looking good for the title - Academicals will slip away as they do not seem to have the same depth to their squad. Understandable as they are a much smaller club. I was not convinced when I saw you at Broadwood as it took a penalty and a red card to turn the game for you.

Though fair play to the Accies - 12/12 is an excellent start to the season.

I suspect when you are asked to play offensive football consistently you will fall down?

I would put you fourth in the league.

You are good defensive side.

Good luck to you. I would take 6 points off you by the way for playing on a plastic pitch at home every secod week.

See you at Palmerston!

Maybe they will, maybe they won't, But were having fun this season and you can't base your opinions for a full season on one game. You haven't even seen Dundee yet.

However the game at Broadwood turned,It did turn and it was our players who turned it in our favour .

Happy relegation fight, Sorry we won't be playing you next season even if we don't go up B)

Dundee are abetter team than Accies based on what bI have seen so far. The only difference between Morton and Accies today was Offiong. Dundee are a different proposition altogether.

Top three for Accies. SPL for Dundee.
I plan on living forever! So far, so good!

Again, I'm actually quite looking forward to next week as we're not in it to win it this season, just looking to stay safe. Undeniably Accies have done very well, but is that not 3 games out of 4 they've won (and scored) a penalty and had an opposition player sent off?

Dundee did look good today, I'm looking forward to comparing the Accies.
Even men with steel hearts love to see a dog on the pitch.

I wouldn't say we are boring. The fans of the teams we've played might be bored as our keepers have had hardly a thing to do in most games, Thats your teams problem ,not ours. To win this division you have to be strong and solid before you can start playing silky football and thats what were doing.

So far every team we've played have had fans who say Accies won because we played crap. Aint it funny how every team we've played so far have been crappier than us?

Onwards and upwards, Accies are not a flash in the pan. We are contenders. Will we win it? Lets wait and see, But in the meantime, I'll enjoy myself

Accies are a big, strong, physical side who play a rather simple game of get one more than the opposition at all costs.

When boss at Clyde BR did the same and he got the same criticism. He couldn't understand it. Getting one goal more than the opposition is what football is all about is his defence to any accusations of boring football.

With ex Raith owner Colin McGowan in the wings I am sure if they need one final push in January they will get it. So they are serious contenders don't think their squad is as wafer thin as others describe but Offiong and McLaughlin are key players and if they are absent for a while then like any team would they will struggle.

Haha. Big Strong and physical.

Mark Gilhaney, James McCarthy, James McArthur, Alex Neil, Tom Parratt are all massive big brutes.

Fair enough our defenders are big. This is natural surely?!

I also recall us getting 2 goals more than Clyde and 2 more than Morton. Also, we were pushing for more than the one goal margin against Q.O.S and the Pars.

Given our start to the season, I think Billy Reid will get in a couple of players to strengthen the squad. We could do with another striker and another centre half/full back.
Same old Accies, always winning and cheating

Well done to Accies, of all the teams in teh First I'd like them to win the league the most.
