It's been scrapped, will now go to the next 4th placed league team rather than the loser of the cup final.

And rightly so.

Yep. Although I think if the Scottish Cup winners have already qualified then it should go to the League Cup winners. It would give the League Cup a bit more value and teams would take it seriously if they had a chance of European qualification.

I'd actually rather the League Cup winner got the 2nd UEFA spot too. Give the League Cup some meaning.

I think that's a good idea.

I mentioned it a while back just after we had won our semi final I think when people were moaning about us having already qualified for Europe. I think the general consensus was that it was a good idea, but it's not like the SFA to implement an idea that the fans want.

There aren't any Swedish pubs over there, due to the prices i'd imagine. 3 main bars Dunfermline fans drank in were The Dubliner, The Flying Scotsman and The Rose And Crown.

Went to Gothenburg in the summer, and found the excellent "Ol-Hallen 7". (O.K, it was in the guidebook...) It's a pub as opposed to a cafe that sells drink. Great place for those that like dark Czech beer served in pints, and they had some local dark beer too! Not cheap right enough, but not ridiculously so, and, having done the sums, city centre bars in Glasgow and Edinburgh are hot on the trail in that respect. Avoided the ones mentioned, but I believe the atmosphere in them was great when the Pars fans were there.

I actually watched the UEFA Cup draw in that boozer, and seemed the only one in the pub interested. Having seen games in the top two divisions in Gothenburg (and much lower down the chain too, but that's another story), I thought it was a good draw as the standard of what I saw was mince. At least they sell drink in the ground - it was the only interesting feature of the IFK game I saw in the Ullevi.

Very disappointing we messed this up.

1st time I've seen a picture of the crowd. Quite a large following. Heard there was about 1200. Let down badly by the team. :(

My dad got a picture of the Hacken support, and if we had about 1300 there, there was no way the attendance was 2,700. Hacken's support looked to be about 1,000 at the VERY most.
For we're the Pars, Dunfermline Athletic,
And now we are on song,
For we're the Pars, Dunfermline Athletic,
And we'll go marching on.

There were a small number of Hacken fans in the stand along the side of the pitch, just along from us, so there was more than what would have been in the picture.

Fair enough, he was claiming the fans in the sort of main stand was the entire Hacken support. It still only looked a few hundred.

Wasn't quite as much as that. Depends where you went though. In the town centre it was about 50 - 60kr for a pint which is about £4 I think. Other places further away from the centre and you were getting it for almost half that.

That was their "singing section" and it made up about a 3rd/4th of their support i'd say.

Probably because they were 200 yards away....

Do you have anything good to say about anything?
