Did Fort William not get just 1 point a few seasons ago in the Highland League?

Impossible. If they won 3 games they must have scored at least 3 goals.
Didn't Dumbarton win their first 2 or 3 games and sit at the top of the league that season?

In season 1998/99 we only won two games. We had 8 draws though which, considering it was back in the 2 points for a win days, should have meant we got 12 points. However, we had two points deducted for fielding an ineligible player and finished with 10 points.

Didn't Fofar have a really bad season in the early 1980's - scoring less than 10 points?

Quuen Of the South season 1988/89 - only 10 points from 39 games is the worst season by a Scottsih Senior team I can find.
Berwick had a terrible season around that time, we only had 3 points until early December - then Jim Jeffries was apppointed manager and we went on a 23 game unbeaten run - until Albion Rovers (who went up as Champions?) beat us at Cliftonville on the last day of the season - 2-1 I think...??>

It was 1974/75
Played 38 Won 1 Drew 7 Lost the rest. That's 9 points!
Hopefully never see that again.
How many points did Clydebank get in their last season in the first? 2000/2001 I believe.

What about East Fife in 96-7? I'm pretty sure they ended up with 14 points but won their last 2 games. Can anyone confirm?

Just to answer my own question - they drew their penultimate game and won their last (4-0!) so would have been on 10 points after 34 games.

Fleet Star in the 2005-06 recorded 26 defeats out of 26, scoring 17 and conceding 171.
Eyemouth United finished with -1 points in the East of Scotland League in 2004-05. The drew 2 and lost 20 (F10-A88) but then had 3pts deducted!

On two occasions we conceded 100 goals in the Premier.
Not surprisingly we finished bottom, but managed 12 and 16 points.
In each season we somehow managed a home win over one of the OF.

I see we were in the bottom 3 team in Scotland for 5 years on the trot in the 80's. Must have been great supporting Berwick back then!

Remember it well Gnasher. We actually made the national news the night before our 3rd game which was a top of the table clash with Dunfermline as no top league games were being played due to internationals.
Aside from the first to games the only other match we won was a 1-0 victory over Dundee Utd at Boghead. The soon made up for it beating us 8-1 in the next fixture.
Dark days indeed. But at least they were in Div 1. These days we can only dream of reaching such heights!

Worst ever points total in the HFL is 3 (maybe as much as 4) by Clachnacuddin in the 80's. Fort are doing their best to beat it, and Lossie are giving them a run for their money these days as well.

The other win being a 2-1 over us at Scapa - when Charnely scored from the half-way line and your first goal was a penalty after Anderson punched the ball over the bar with Wylie (as usual) all over the place.
Think it was our flag day too.
Dundee Utd had a poor start, having drawn at Tannadice with us on day 1.

I think we won twice in the Anelka season (04/05) did we not? At home to St Mirren and St Johnstone

Are Shirey the worst ever SFL team regarding points totals?
Did they not finish with 8pts or something in 2004/05?

Just for comparisons sakes versus the new young guns. Before this season Gretna had acculated 365 points since 2002/3 Livingston 646 since 1995/6 and ICT 733 Since 1994/5. For the equivilant number of points to be scored East Stirling have to go back to the 1995/6, 1987/8 and 1985/6 seasons respectively. Considering that Gretna only spent 3, Livi 1 and ICT 3 seasons in the same league as East Stirling the majority of these points were against higher level opposition than East Stirling faced.

Not a record to be too proud of, wins against St Mirren and Raith, draws against Falkirk and Partick T.
Or how about 1980/81, we went the last 14 games of the season without scoring a goal, it was murder watching them that year even for the opposition support, we only lost 15 in those 14 games.

If you want to look at really awful records then surely Hurlford United in the Ayrshire juniors has to top the lot. Didn't they go two seasons where they lost every single game? I remember when Cumnock were in the Second Division and me and a mate decided to go see them play at Hurlford, we turned up 10 minutes lates and when I asked a guy if there was any score he said 5-0! Similar thing when we went to see Dalry play Hurlford in a midweek game near the end of the season, missed the first 5 minutes and 4 goals in the process.
