Few of us are old enough to have seen it, but Clyde's last minute equaliser against Celtic in the 1955 Scottish Cup Final is worth a mention.

I remember Berwick scoring direct form a corner in a friendly against a Scandanavian team about 20 years ago - can't remember who score it though.

it was a night game, possibly midweek. Visiting team could've been called IF or IK something-or-other.

Didn't Charlie Tully do it black and white days for Celtic and were both disallowed in the same game?

I'm sure I saw Scott McArthur score direct from a corner for Morton against Accies, must have been around 92/93. Andy McLaren scored one the season before last against Forfar too.

I'm sure Simon Stainrod scored one for us at the Somerset Road end during his time as manager, would be the first one here mentioned who has done it with 2 different teams if im right?

If a player at the near post flicks on a corner and someone else nods over the line, there is a fair chance that the scorer will be in an offside position.

Yet in all my years of watching football, I've never seen a goal disallowed in this manner, even in the days when standing in-line meant you were off-side.

But the flick on at the front post isn't in a forward direction so the scorer couldn't be offside
Here for a year, we're only here for a fourth year !!

Mark Bradley was an expert at this he scored in 1 of his first games for Cowden from a corner, then in a friendly against Croydon and then v East Fife in a 3-2 win where he also hit the bar direct from a corner. 3 goals in 3 seasons he scored for us direct from corners.

"Tricky" Dickie Gibb I'm pretty sure did it a few times I'm sure he rattled the bar at Albion Rvrs a couple of times and then scored all in the one game.

You would of thought that their keeper would have got the hint by then wouldn't you??? :oops

Also pretty sure he did it in the same season at The San Bayview!!!
