I have seen Davie Sinclair score direct from a corner v Ayr United in 1991, and Sir Jimmy Nicholl do the same against the Pars in 1993

Has anyone seen it happen for their clubs ?

I think Mark Bradley scored for us against EF directly from a corner. We were 3 up playing with a strong wind behind us. I'm sure we won 3-2 in the end.

Our first goal in the 5-1 mauling of Dunfermline in December came direct from a Garry Hay corner. Various sources, however, have it credited as either a Gordon Greer goal or a Greg Shields own goal.

I'm sure I saw a Berwick player doing it against us at Shielfield in the 80s or early 90s!

Simon Stainrod against St Johnstone. Hit the post first then popped it in the net with his next to show it wasn't a fluke!

Sadly the saintees went on to win the game.

Stainrod had scored from the half way line earlier in the season against them as well.

Andy McFarlane (more famous these days for being related to Tommy Sheridan) scored with a wind assisted corner in one of the early games at Broadwood not long after Clyde moved there and it was still open at both ends. We won 4-3.

That useless c**t Dow scored direct from a corner a few years ago with the wind in his favour.

John Gallacher (ex Albion an EF left back) also scored 7/8 years ago from a corner in the 2nd division.

Paul Watson almost did it against EF earlier in the season, but it was credited to Andy Reilly.

Boab McCulloch vs Ross County from the same corner, last season.

Derek Fleming kind of scored a wind-assisted one vs Airdrie in 2005, but it was credited as a Martin Hardie og as it took a nick off him on the way in, although it probably didn’t alter the fact it was going in.

One of the kids in my sons team scored a hattrick of corners a couple of months ago and it had nothing to do with the wind and that he is built like an ox for an under 13 still some feat that though.

Paul Kinnaird scored one for us from the away pie stand corner in our last season in the second division, I think. Not the foggiest who it was against, though, my memory's not too great...

In 1996/7/8/9 Stenhousemuir did it against Clyde twice in the first half, we went 3-0 down at HT and came out and won 4 or 5-3.

Aye. The only other time I've seen it done was by Graeme Meldrum at Central Park. I forget the opposition.

I never seen it but Andy Ritchie done it against St Mirren - goal was disallowed, had to re-take corner. He re-took the corner and scored AGAIN, and AGAIN goal was disallowed.

Seen two that I can recall -

9/3/93 Kilmarnock 2-2 Morton (Division 1)
One of our goals was a corner scored by Jim Tolmie. We initially assumed there had been a glancing header until all of the players ran to Jim.

15/4/95 Clyde 1-3 Morton (Division 2)
Derek McInnes this time, scored our 2nd at the end where the stand is. He had huge wind assistance, I might add.

Think that Kenny Ward scored in a mid week game at Central Park. Think it may have been against Arbroath

East Fife scored direct from a corner after our keeper came for it and missed it.

Paul Sheerin scored, albeit with a huge assist from a gale, at Somerset Park if I mind right.

I have also seen Veron socre for Lazio direct from a corner. Think it was against Perma.
