I think you'll find they're two different Alan Morgans. The ex-Forfar Athletic and Partick Thistle striker, who retired about eight years ago, and the former Blackburn Rovers and current Inverness Caley Thistle midfielder, who's presently on loan at Ross County.

Aye Robert Dunn was superb as was Willie Howie. The Alan Morgan currently at County is pretty mince, an insult to the legend that is the other Alan Morgan.

Two CM legends were on show in yesterday's Glenafton v Pollok game: Willie Howie and Ross O'Donoghue. In CM 00-01 you'd pay a fortune for those guys!

How did Pollock get on yesterday? I've just started working with one of the players wives and she suggested that I should take in a couple of their games now that the SFL season's finished.

We won 2-0 against Glenafton and now are playing to win the league on Wednesday away to Kilsyth Rangers.
A few home games left otherwise though, home to Renfrew on Monday in the League Cup and home to Auchinleck date TBC.

Kilsyth have one of the largest grounds in the league don't they? Could prove fortuitous if you are expecting a big crowd. How many do you anticipate - over 1,000? Even more?

Also was injured the previous season during a rich vein of form.
A great player who is missed dearly.

If there's more than 400, I'd be surprised. They have a small support and I can't see hundreds of Lok fans crossing the city in rush hour for possibly the hardest ground to get to from Newlandsfield in our League. No train station either.
Duncansfield has a big shed but I've never seen a single person in it. The terraces are in a very poor state of repair. Everyone stands in one tiny section visible on the Directory: West Premier League clubs

That's a bit of a shame - although I presume you have a home game remaining and the trophy will be presented there (if you win). Anyway best of luck to Pollok on Wednesday.

Yeah we play Auchinleck at some point in our remaining home match. The way it's worked out, if Kilsyth beat us, we only need a point from the Talbot game to win the league... so long Bot win every other game they still have to play. As it stands they can still pip us by 2pts.
That'd be some match!
I'd rather we beat Kilsyth on Wednesday and avoided such a scenario though!

I guess it is also important if this Scottish Cup expansion plan goes through next month, as you're only chance of qualifying would be through the league I think. Bearing in mind the tournament currently pays out £6M annually in prize money and entrant dividends alone, could be a tidy little earner for any of the Juniors/non-league Senior who wouldn't normally qualify. I think clubs losing in the first round this season still got well over £20,000 basic plus a small amount of prize money. Could be a great incentive.

The Scottish Cup proposals split the current prize money among the new entrants. It's £2000 for being knocked out at the 1st hurdle.

Ah so effectively the greater number of clubs are just splitting the original rounds pots. Still I'm sure £2,000 would go down a treat at every club, especially since half of them will progress to the next round, a few to the round after that etc. etc. A club like Berwick actually makes considerably more getting KO of the 3 cups at the first round than they do from the league - especially now there is no pools money or a sponsor.
Would it be possible for you to put up the prize money for all rounds, if you know them?

I don't know the allocation of prize money I'm afraid, other than £2000 is the starting point.

A distance-travelled-related guarantee or, if bigger, a split gate between the clubs is in place up to and including the quarter-finals. At the semis the clubs get £3000 each and in the final that rises to £8000.
