I buy a couple of scratchcards every morning, had a few decent wins, including £17 today, does anyone else have any luck on them?

Here's an idea since you're losing 19 times out of 20 why not keep the money, save it up and put on a really big single on football once a month.
Goal scorers 2011/12
Peter MacDonald 15; Andy Jackson 12; Paul di Giacomo, Archie Campbell & David O'Brien 8; Peter Weatherson 5; Michael Tidser 3; Darren McGeouch 2; Derek Young, Marc Smyth, Lewis Hawke & Fouad Bachirou 1

Scratchcards are a complete waste of money IMO. How much do you spend on scratchcards a day, philpy?

Agree totally. At least sticking a line on at the bookies requires a bit of skill and knowledge to pick your winners as opposed to scratch cards where the winners are all pre-determined and it's just the luck of the draw whether you get a winner or not.

£2.00 a day. i still do my accas at the bookies on a saturday too, but i only put a pound on and pick 12/13 teams, i never put anymore than a pound on as i have placed big bets in the past and became dissolusioned (sp) with them.

much less chance of winning a 12/13 team accy than at least getting your money back on a scratch card... have some common sense and just keep your money, if you're going to fritter money away at least give yourself a chance.

Like SaltyTON said, you're far more likely to make profit if you save the £10 and put it on a single, double or treble on the Saturday. Just a wee suggestion. Oh, and drop the 13 team acca
How much would you say you were winning/losing on an average week? Although I'm willing to bet that you are on a considerable loss if you've been doing it for a while

For Christ's sake!!! I can hardly ever get a treble up never mind 12/13 results. Out of interest, have you ever had a winning line?

The last 3 or 4 weeks i've had one team let me down, so im going to keep perseveering with it in the meantime.
I'll take that as a "No".
Cut down on the number of teams you pick and cut down on your scratchcard expenditure to increase your stake on the football. It makes sense (unless you're buying a scratchcard with the sole intention of winning £250k or the like).

I used to buy 5-6 every week until I realised it was a colossal waste of money. The odds are appalling. Seriously, read the odds on the back of the card.
