Right, I might be horribly wrong here but...

On todays line I fancied Sunderland to win at 1.83 (at bet365). On the Asian handicap with them at -0.5 they are 1.95. That's the exact same bet is it not?

Ok, can someone confirm to me I'm right here. A team on Asian Handicap at -0.5 is the same bet as that team to win outright?

At Bet365 the odds for the Old Firm are Celtic 1.90, Draw 3.25, Rangers 4.00

On the Asian handicap Celtic (-0.5) are 2.05, Rangers (+0.5) are 1.80

I think you're correct

It's different if the handicap is 0.25,0.75,1.25 etc however

-0.5 is the same as a win.

-0 is the same as win, draw no bet.

Out of interest did you take the very generous 1.95??

Yes... although I made it a double with Ipswich which ended up being a mistake!

Anyway, seems a good way of getting slightly better odds on your bets in some cases.

Would stick to singles on Betfair, the odds are good enough to make them worthwhile.

Join the club mate. :(

I was quite confident about that one as well.

Wise words from SaltyTon ;)

I hit Sunderland, Celtic and Falkirk +1 on AH, all singles and still made a profit, thanks to Sunderland.
