I know I'm a wee bit early in starting this with the festival been a week away but starting to look forward to it already.
Anybody have any interest in any of the races at it?

I went to Cheltenham last year on the Tuesday, good day out. Well it was good apart from not having 1 winner and seeing f**k all of the races except the horses head at the end of the race. But a good/drunken day out non the less. The amount of money exchanging hands there is unbelivable.
I am on the early shift at work next week, so I will settle for just watching it on tv this year and not pishing up so much money up the wall.

I see that Fearless Freddie has taken a £1million bet on Kauto Star. I hope it works out for him - it takes some balls to accept a bet like that.

Thats crazy.
Although having read the racing post there seems to be a very mixed reaction on Kauto's chances. Obviously Freddie think its worth opposing.
Don't think I'll be having an interest in the Gold Cup although I do think Kauto will win if he manages to stay on his feet.
Still trying to decide my own bets for the festival but I can guarantee they will be nowhere near £1m

Fearless Freddie is supposed to have hired a helicopter to take him to and from the races after last years carry on when he was rammed off the road and had £0.5million nicked from him, a wise move I reckon

Supreme Novices - Aran Concerto
Arkle - Gemini Lucy
Fred Winter - Freezetheflame
Just going to put on an each way trixie I think - these will be my only Cheltenham bets - it's too hard picking winners here.

Watch out with Aran Concerto as he is likely to head to the Ballymore instead on Wednesday.

That happened on the same day JP McManus took just short of £1m off him on 2 bets I think.
Only bet I've decided on so far is Katchit in the Triumph hurdle. What I actually bet will depend on the price for it. I'd prefer to go each way if the each way price works out as an evens bet.

Sir Boreas Hawke looks a good each-way candidate, 33/1 (Tuesday at Cheltenham). It was 66/1 so lump on fast.
Edit: It's in the Supreme Novices Hurdles

2.00 Amaretto Rose, although Tipperary All Star has good each way claims.
2.35 Fair Along, although I fancy Tidal Fury each way.
3.15 Brave Inca!
4.00 Distant Thunder or Juveigneur
4.40 Spot the difference
5.20 Gaspara

Hottest tip for today? I'm away to the bookies later, and might put on my first ever horse related bet.
