Nope, wouldn't have paid out.

Saying to your mate 'I think that will finish 3-3' should not count in these instances. I think to feel genuinely angry at yourself you must have seriously considered placing the bet and had not just said it as an off the cuff prediction.

I remember making a wager on Sky Bet at half time during the Milan v Liverpool Champions league final. A Liverpool win in normal time was 500/1 and the draw was 33/1. My thinking being that if they could get it back to 3-3 then surely they could go on to win, so i got greedy and stuck £5 on to win when a draw would have made me a nice little profit.

Found out last night that Hills were offering 100/1 for Bellamy to score at the Camp Nou and follow it up with a golf related celebration. <_<

Always regret never piling on to streaker at cup final novelty bets, get a wedge on at some huge price, find a ticket, remove kegs and do a sillyrun/hop round pitch spend a night in the cells and wake up a wealthy man? anyone game for this? I'l send them a tenner.

Was in bookies on day of Caley Thistle's first win over Celtic in 2000. Saw they were 17 or 18/1 and seriously thought about putting a pound on it. I know, a whole pound! I said to a guy at work that Celtic would get a tough game, to which he replied "naw, too easy". I didn't think they would win but knew it could be close. Just to walk in that bookies the next day would have been so satisfying. Still, I exorcised that ghost a little this season by putting £2 on St Johnstone at Ibrox.

Group of us went down the bookies fro the Cheltenham Gold Cup years back (1990) -Desert Orchard era. As we looked through the form we all remarked that Norton's Coin wasn't nearly as bad as the 100/1 on offer and we'd all won money a few weeks before on him at 25 or 33 or something. 2 of the lads stuck 50p E/W on it "for a laugh" but I backed out as I'd already put a little on Dessie as he seemed unbeatable. We were all howling away at the teles in this crowded wee shop seeing that it might pick up place money and even more so whens Dessie went backwards and most of the punters lost their money. All the old codgers in the place looked at us as if we were mental as we roared "C'MON THE COIN....C'MON THE COIN!! as he battled past into the lead abd held off up the hill. £63.50 from a 50p Jammy buggers...we were chuffed for them but I wished I'd have put my quid on too :) :o)

More recently I was tempted by bet365 novelty bet of contestant to fall down the stairs going into Big Brother...thought you know nerves...the odd silly tart on ridiculous high heels...never know might be worth a fiver 9think it was 12's on offer)
.....didn't and the Awwwwww Nooooooo from me when Pete the tourettes bloke took a tumble ohhhhh why

What league do you go into if you win your league this season?
