I remember a couple of years ago I turned £5 into £60 in a few weeks, then one evening I stuck the full whack on Benfica against some lowly opponent at miserable odds (something like 1.31) and they drew 0-0

Another time last season I had a trixie with a reward of £240, all teams were winning after 90mins, until I was just waiting on 2 scores to be confirmed, i'm sure it was Wycombe and Carlisle, I only needed 2 wins to at least make a wee bit money so I thought I had at very worst covered my £20 stake, waiting and waiting and waiting disaster finally struck at about 5pm, there was two "goal flashes" and both sides had lost equilisers!

Stuck a tenner on Hartson and 2-2 in the OF Scottish Cup final a few years back at 66/1.

Fucking Lovenkrands scored in the last minute and I was almost physically ill! :(

Chelsea done me out of £600 once on an accumulator by drawing 0-0 at home to Birmingham.

On the same day, a horse I had money on was toppled by a riderless horse :(

My worst was when I had a Chelsea match away to Blackburn as a draw in my accumulator that would have earned me over £500 but they won 1-0. It wasn't particularly dramatic (although Dickov missed a penalty for Rovers) but it's the closest I've been to getting a big money win.

The worst moment at the time was when I had Celtic to win at Ibrox 2-0 at 7/1 and Boyd got a goal with about three minutes to go that made it 2-1.

Last season I sent my mate to the bookies because I was working. He was supposed to put on a £5, six team accumulator - all aways.

Anyway, the plum gave me my coupon and it turned out that he had put them all on as DRAWS by mistake. I was raging, but 5 of the draws came up on the Saturday, which I found unbelievable. The only match I needed was for a draw between Man Utd and Liverpool on the Sunday, and Man Utd scored twice in the last 20 minutes to make the final score 3-1.

That £5 would've returned almost £2500. I cried into my pillow that night, I tell ya

Not really the worst moment but was raging at the time:

In Celtic Park before the Faroes game my dad went to the bookies and I gave him £20 to stick on boyd scoring 2 or more goals. He came back from the bookies with: "By '2 or more goals' you meant a hatrick, right?"

How fuckin stupid is that? Since when was a hatrick 2 or mo0re goals. :guns Fat disaster!

I'm over it now, though. Sort of

Not my worst day, but my mate's uncle's, going back to about 1994 (I saw him at a funeral during the week and cheered him up no end by reminding him about it once we'd had a few beers  )
I was out with my mate for a beer that midweek and he was going on about how his uncle had said he was backing Falkirk, Chelsea and Hearts that weekend.
We were 5/4 or something like that away to Dumbarton, Hearts were about 4/1 to win at Pittodrie and Chelsea were a HUGE price to win at Old Trafford (I'm sure it was 9/1 or 10/1).
Anyway, my mate was going on about how he was going to do it and he added in Stenhousemuir, who I think were playing Queen's Park at Hampden.
Anyway, we scraped a 1-0 win in a really crap game at Boghead, Hearts won 1-0 at Aberdeen and Gavin Peacock scored for Chelsea to give them a real shock win at Man United. We heard all this on the supporters bus radio and then it came through that Stenny had won 4-2.
I worked it out on the bus that my mate had won well over £500 for a £2 or £3 stake.
We got back to the pub and he bought me drinks all night out of his "winnings", even though he hadn't collected them yet and invited me out for another paid-for night the following Friday :D
And if you haven't guessed it yet, his uncle whose tips he'd followed had changed his mind and hadn't put the line on himself.
Still, almost 13 years on, he can just about see the funny side ...
For ever and ever, my heart will be true ...

If theres one thing that get's on my nerve's about Pie and Bovril, its the amount of poster's who dont know how to use apostrophe's. So heres a lesson for you's - if in doubt, leave them out. I also hate 'of' instead of 'have' and piss-poor speeling. Its my own fault its been bugging me for a while, as I should of thought of pointing this out sooner. Proberly

Picked one of the "boxes" accumulators in Ladbrokes, and picked a fairly random choice. Anyway, from the four tricky boxes, I got four right- including a Nottingham Forest home draw and another draw, to boost my odds. The only game left was Chelsea at home to Leicester (off a £2 stake I would have picked up about £120 from what I recall...) - Chelsea completely dominated and hit the woodwork twice, but it finished 0-0. Gutted.
