I play mostly on William Hill, and I agree that it is not in the interests of a FTSE100 company to be fixing things.

However........
I have heard stories about how some players (including the person who beat me with the 75 off mentioned earlier) are treated much differently by William Hill than any other players. Not saying any more than that on this point.
And I was speaking to someone yesterday who has been inside the control room at William Hill poker, you can see whatever table you like, and everyone's cards, and also cards that haven't been dealt yet i.e. flop, turn and river. Now whilst I am not suggesting that this takes place, what would stop someone in that control room focusing on a particular table with a particular player and letting them know what cards were about to come out?

And as a footnote, I had two ridiculous badbeats last night which left me 3rd out of 6 (top 2 get paid) in a £30 tourney, followed by the same in a £50 tourney half an hour later.
Pish.

That is serious food for thought, mate. I think I'll go back to play money!!!

On the back of what I have learnt in the last 48 hours, I am solely going to play live poker in the new year. I have two very good card clubs in easy reach of my house, and it's a better experience with a better chance of winning an honest buck.

If they threatened to physically attack me, I would STRONGLY ADVISE them not to do so. If they threatened to physically attack a young lady across the aisle I would VERY STRONGLY ADVISE them not to do so and attempt to place myself between them.

It wasn't bad play. You were just outplayed. Simple as that. Why oh why would you fold trip Jacks when the likelihood is it is the winning hand. Of course you wanted to win, and thats why you will do better in future tournaments. You are not a pussy, you will play. You were outplayed in one hand, don't let that put you off.

Even if you raised the Big Blind, he still would have called. He would still have checked after the flop, allowing you to hit. Once the Jack game he still would have got all your chips. Limping or raising you would have ended teh same way. You could have folded your trips, but why would you do that!

The fact that i knew there was literally 3 or 4 hands left, i had about the same chip count as the other bloke (a small bit more as it happens), and if i folded all the way i'd pick up £200 (or £80 at absolute worst).

Anyway, it still hurts whatever :)

A lot of players online make ridiculous bets just to steal like 20 chips. It works in the short term but eventually they will try and steal a pot and you will have a good hand and they are f**ked ! :) :)

Time for me to give in.
In recent tournement had Ace 10 spades. Flush came in, someone went all in, so i joined, only for him to have str8 flush.

Minutes later I was dealt KA offsuit. On flop two kings came in. So go all in with remaining chips and someone else had a full house.

No more poker until Feb I am that gutted (as is my bank a/c)

Thats just plain unlucky. It happens. Do you play cash games or tournaments? If you are playing cash games you need a bank roll of 20x the buy in to sustain any losses you wil have. For tournament sit and go's it depends on the amount of players in each one. But normally about 2-3 times the amount of players in the sit in go as your bank roll.

The hardest thing in poker is building that first bank roll. I would love to play at the .50/1.00 tables but I just don't have the money to play there. Any money I generally win I have to fire out. I am going to try the Casino in Aberdeen when i am back in January.
You will retire me, but Iniesta will retire us both.
