Just think how funny it would be if Cowden romped this game and won the league, with Morton failing again in the play-offs?

Chortle. Snigger. :P

Ayr must have done a much better job than Morton in the playoffs last year to justify the above remark being funny.

(A pause while Dirk checks last seasons playoff contenders, notices Ayr aren't any of them, and then wonders about the mentality of the person who posted the above comment)

Ah, Dirk understands now. Its the 'Slag off the team thats better than us who came close to promotion whilst we were nowhere near it' approach.

If you were a Gr£tna fan, the above statement would have probably been amusing (as they are in a position to slag all Division 2 teams).

Dirk advises you to try out new material or start slagging teams who are actually worse than you.

Monster recommends Dirk try reading posts with a pinch of salt to accompany his pepperpot.

Monster advises Dirk that while it may be difficult to understand, banter may occasionally occur on pie and bovril.

Monster suggests that if Dirk is offended by this in future he should stick to reading Peoples Friend and thinking about which team he'd like to support.

Dirk doesn't like salt (or pepper, for that matter).

Dirk comprehends banter more than you do (your reply proves this).

Dirk gave up on People's Friend long ago (not enough 'Weekend Stay' special offers). Dirk will reveal that he supports Scotland, and is happy to remind anyone that slagging off a team superior to your own does seem rather foolish (Despite their losses, Dirk does not feel the need to slag off Spain or Italy).

Dirk has also noticed Monster referring to himself in the third person. Seek help.

Some info for the Morton fans from the www.cowdenbeathfc.com website :

Segregation is in place for this match. The away support will be accommodated in the old stand and behind the goal at the Chappel Street end. Away fans should note that entry to the ground will be via the Chappel Street turnstiles.

Mixu says we have some injury worries, but he won't be clear about the situation till tomorrow morning. On the official Cowden website (www.cowdenbeathfc.com), Mixu says: "There has been a lot of hype this week and everyone is looking forward to Saturday. People are anticipating an open, entertaining game with goals and I agree. I think it will be a cracking game between two attack minded teams playing football the way it should be.
"The question is how we will cope against full-time professionals. We will see but we should have no fears as the boys have have proven that they can compete with the best. If we play to our potential I am confident of getting a positive result."
Can Morton sort out the part-time underdogs? We'll see. If Morton outplay us, the Cowden fans will be first to acknowlege it, as we did after the defeats by Brechin and Falkirk. If it goes the other way, I'm sure the Morton fans will be equally gracious.

Certainly we would. At Scapa you did try to play football- a wonderful exciting game, when played by teams like ours. :D

Unlike the defensive dreck produced by the untermensch from Ayr.
