Aside from penalty kicks, which goalkeepers in Scotland have scored a goal during a match?

I remember Andy Goram scoring for Hibs in the mid-80s with a long kick-out. I think Morton were the opposition. I seem to recall that the Berwick goalie achieved a smilar feat around the same time.

More recently, there has been a trend for keepers to run the length of the field to attack a last-minute corner if their side is desperate for an equaliser. Has a Scottish goalie ever scored in this manner? It's been done down in England, Peter Schmeical headed home for Man Utd in a European tie and - best of all - the Carlisle keeper (Jim Glass?) kept his side in the Football League with a last-gasp strike on the final day of the season.

Hamish McAlpine scored our winner in a 4-3 win at Rugby Park in 1987 or 8.

Big hoof, over the keepers head and into the back of the net for our first win of the season, previous to that there were very few Hamish clearances that reached the half way line.

Tommy Walker also scored for Raith in a Fife Cup match in the early 80's against teh Shippy.
Here for a year, we're only here for a fourth year !!

George Wood scored against us for East Stirlingshire in the 1971 5-4 game I referred to in the East Stirling big wins thread.

I've never seen a QoS goalkeeper score a goal though Alan Davidson took a successful penalty in a shoot out once.

Edited to add: Richie Barnard scored a goal for our reserves last season from a long kick out. I wasn't there though.

Just looking at league scoring keepers just now, the last one was Ian MacFarlane for Hamilton in 2000-01. That game was a 4-1 away win over East Fife on 27/3/01 in which one of the East Fife players also put though his own goal!

In 1992-93, Campbell Money did it twice! First of all at Love Street against Cowdenbeath in a 5-0 win on 2/12/92, then on the 26th of December in a 3-2 win over Clydebank, again at Love Street.

Chris Woods took a penalty for Rangers against Stranraer round about 1987. Rangers were about 8-0 up at the time.

He missed.

Edited to say that a quick visit to soccerbase confirms it was 1989. Also notice that Rangers and Stranraer didn't play each other for 41 years! That, of course, belongs in another thread!

I've seen a couple of goalkeeping goals in the last few seasons:

1. Stevie Dunn scored for Lossiemouth away at Wick Academy in a Highland League game from a free kick inside his own half in April 2004.

2. Darren Acton equalised for Nuneaton Boro at home against Droyslden in the Conference North via a header from an injury-time corner. This was just last season.

Anyone remember the African goalie that ran out his box with the ball and everyone kept backing of so he took right up the field and planted a peach in the top corner?

It can be viewed here.

Another of our 'keepers, John Balavage, scored in a 3-0 pre-season victory over Hibs in 1987. It was from a long kick-out though.
Fascists against Beatson.

Pretty sure Campbell Money's goal vs Cowdenbeath was a pen. I think we were 4-0 up at the time. I can't remember the Clydebank game - presumably I was drunk, given the date :D

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Ian McFarlane scored from a goal kick for Accies in the 3rd or 2nd division either 2001/02 or 2002/03

I think it was Tony Parks (ex-Falkirk and Spurs) not Glass.

Was there not some Belgian keeper (de Clerek?) who scored on his debut for Aberdeen in the early 80s?

I remember a Berwick keeper scoring against us at Shielfield in the 80s - can't remember who though!

Errr.....it was actually Ally McCoist who missed the penalty I'm afraid, so not much good on this thread. It was in 1989 and yes, Rangers were 8-0 up at the time!

Did Chris Woods not take his in a european tie in similar circumstances? It might have been against Cypriot opposition?

McCalpine got quite a few goals for United as he took some penalties.

I know it's nothing to do with Scottish football but Schmicheal also scored for Villa against Everton at Goodison Park. A corner kick came in and he was at the far post to take it down on his knee and volley the ball home :)

I'm sure walker scored against Cowden at Central Park not the Shippy.
