Anyone had a look at the English league odds (outside of the Prem)?
odds to be promoted... (bet365)
Championship
Coventry 5/1
Sunderland 9/4
Southampton 7/2
Derby 10/1
WBA 7/4
Birmingham 6/5
League One
Crewe 9/2
Notts Forest 1/1
Bristol City 13/8
Carlisle 15/2
League Two
Grimsby 7/2
Swindon 6/4
Wycombe 5/2
Hartlepool 7/2
Walsall 2/1
Was thinking of putting £2.50 on Southampton, Birmingham, Forest, Bristol City, Swindon and Walsall for £974, thoughts??

I reckon Cardiff are a good shout for promotion at an attractive 10/1 this season, I will certainly be backing them with some kind of bet.
Millwall 7/2 and MK dons 5/2 also tickle my pickle.

Bristol City are the Spain/Morton of League 1. Should have been promoted years ago but always seem to blow it.
Also, am i missing something big happening that Coventry have good odds of 5/1?

Have they made a lot of big signings this year or something? id have them down as a mid-table team maybe looking at the verge of playoffs but nothing else.

Coventry have a great home record since moving to their new stadium but can't think of any big signings they've made to make them any less than 20s.
Southampton look like a decent bet to me for promotion. With Rupert gone and a new board in they're gearing up for a big push under Burley this year. If he gets Skacel and Webster on top of BWP and Gregory Raisiak they're going to be a difficult side to beat.
12-1's well worth taking in an each way line, and the 7-2 promotion is tasty too.

I think that Carlisle could be a decent shout at 15/2. Theres a lot of teams who get promoted 2 seasons in a row in England so they could be worth a pound or two.

I've got e/w
Chelsea
West Brom
Nottm Forest
Swindon
and
Rangers
St. Johnstone
Can anyone clarify if the odds sound right. I wrote it out on the coupon, but there was a problem on the cashier's screen so she wrote it out on a betting slip and she wrote down the return for £2.00 on the back as: 38,595.23. Can that be right?

Got a season ticket with Swindon. Squad is fairly strong this season. Probably the biggest pool of players in the division with Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet also signed on as players and will play a few matches later in the season. Paul Ince also expected to finally sign this week. Team won 4/4 in league and yet to hit top gear in any match. Putting a reserve team out in league cup v Brentford tonight, although I still fancy Swindon to win.
Only put £20 on Swindon to win league at 8/1, kicking myself as was going to see what price we would have got last season when in league 1 and certs to go down, whilst still then under iffy onoura (worst manager ever). Would have got a decent price. Still we are in with a good shout this season and with Dennis Wise at the helm, even more confident. Swindon are far to big for league 2. 1st club to have played in the Premier League since it was formed, to drop right the way through the leagues to England's bottom division. Sadly I have been down south all that time and seen the decline

Di Canio, what a Legend on JPT Final and Swindon "It is the best trophy I can win. Even in 10 years’ time when we win the Champions League I will remember this as the start of my career.”
