We get LOTS of emails from new users who wonder why they cannot post on Pie and Bovril after registering.
The reason for this is that their accounts have not been validated.
When you register as a user on P&B you provide us with your email address. The forum automatically emails that address as soon as you register.
Inside the email you receive there is a link which MUST be clicked in order to validate your account and to allow you to start posting.
This is an automated process and the email will arrive within minutes of you registering.
If you have deleted the email that you received you should log off P&B and click the link on the forum that says "resend validation email". Enter your username and the email will be resent.
Today for example we had 19 accounts sitting awaiting validation. I have manually processed these.
The reason we do this is so that we know you are who you say you are. By using a valid email address we know we can successfully contact you and of course we can also ban malicious users who abuse our forum - thankfully that doesn't happen very often.
Thanks for reading this - and welcome to P&B !
