Hi everyone

We are delighted to be accepted as new members of SJFA, and are looking forward to our new adventure, and to making new friends especially in the East region but hopefully further afield.

Delighted that you guys have been accepted & look forward to you guys coming to Barrhead in a few weeks.

Craigroyston are a great club & I'm sure any team that visits St Marks will enjoy the great hospitality we have always enjoyed over the last few pre season.

Well done, left the sinking ship that is the eosfl. Anyone else accepted at the agm?

Craigroyston were the only new ones.

Harthill Royal staying out for another season, a couple of clubs back after being in abeyance and a couple of mergers too.

What were the reasons behind the switch over to the juniors?

It's a decent pitch at St Marks. And I don't know if there is some kind of weird micro climate in that part of Edinburgh but it always seemed to escape being put off because of frost when other pitches in the Capital were frozen off...

Since start of Lowland League the Eos league has been dying a slow death. When we were promoted 3 years ago there were 26 teams in the league next season there will be 12.

You could play same teams 4 or 5 times a season. We spoke to Easthouses who were delighted with move and recommended it to us

Well done to Craigroyston on the move. One of the best playing surfaces i have seen especially winter time. They will no doubt hold their own in the juniors. Feel it could be a matter of time before more eos teams start knocking at the juniors door.

Thanks for replying

I saw a quote on here before saying that easthouses had made more money out of a handful of games at junior level then they had in the e.o.s. I cant imagine that other then tranent and haddington that the away crowds wouldn't have added much but maybe sponsorship is greater.

Do you have to do much to the ground like getting an enclosure? Good luck with the move and hope it's successful!

To be honest any away support would be an improvement on Eos but hopefully being a new club we will attract a few more spectators.

Don't think any conditions for entry were made re ground.

Thanks for your best wishes

Especially now that Girvan seem to have set the precedent that you can be a full SFA member and get automatic Scottish Cup entry every year while still being a member of the SJFA, and there appears to be no need to join the EoS or SoS leagues to satisfy the entry level license clause about commitment to progression that Linthgow Rose got a waiver on because it was added after they put their aplication in. Would have thought Burntisland Shipyard would be a natural for junior football with that obstacle out of the way given all the local derbies they could have with other clubs in Fife. Hope it all works out for Craigroyston.
