Forth Wanderers 2016/17

Been told there isn't a great gulf between central 2nd and central 1st so hopefully the guys will do well in 16/17. A good foundation has been laid with the core of league winning squad already signed. Hopefully the young players will continue to improve and Willie Mc can continue his form from last year. With a couple of new players to strengthen the squad who knows what might happen. Certainly don't need to fear anyone.

In a lovely touch from the Wanderers committee the parents and brother of the late Dougie Bryce were presented with a league winners medal. Dougie was a hard working and devoted follower of the Wanderers and was taken from us far to early, also a big Hibs fan this would certainly have been a season he would have loved.

It's a real touch of class from the committee and shows what a real family club the Wanderers really are.

Forth 1-1 Girvan

Girvan won on pens

Thrilled for girvan who were a right good side.

Well done and the very best of luck.

To the wanderers players you guys are an absolute credit to the club.

With the foundations built Hopefully the lads can get off to a flyer when it all starts again in the summer.

What a great season 🔴⚪ï¸âš«ï¸ ðŸ†post-36632-14644618701254_thumb.jpg

The Wanderers would like to extend a warm welcome to goalkeeper Martyn Meek who has signed on at Kingshill. At Gartcairn last season, Martyn has also played with Newmains, Vale of Clyde and East Kilbride Thistle.
Welcome aboard Martyn

Great to see Jamie, Brian and the management start to get our team moving in the right direction
Got a few quality players in lately including Kevin Bradley, Roddy Hunter and David Dunn to help the squad and the young team are now starting to find their feet also, big game on Saturday at home to Vale of Clyde, if we take 3 points then it's 3 league wins on the bounce added to a junior cup victory and a creditable late defeat to Kilbirnie shows that we have a chance of cementing our place in this division which would be a great effort in our first season back up in 25 years
