NorthernLights
I hadn't realised until Marr1 mentioned it in the fixtures thread I posted last night that Nairn are facing financial problems after the family who had funded the club stepped away. http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2016/05/23/nairn-county-fans-set-fundraising-page-clubs-102-year-existence-place-grave-threat/ I was up at Nairn towards the end of the season and was impressed with the set up there. The stadium is in a really good condition and they just opened a new enclosure a few months ago as well. Some of the pictures I took while I was there are on the Non-League Scotland website - http://nonleaguescotland.org.uk/nairncounty.htm Hopefully they can stabilise the club and get it back onto a sound financial footing. Jimmy Shaker
The new enclosure was paid for by the fans. If they're as organised when it comes to sorting out the mess left behind by the Mackintosh family, they'll be fine. If not...

Wilky1878
How much, realistically would a club in the highland league need each year to keep the club alive? Including money for wages, maintenance and travel. How much roughly does a highland league club make per year in terms of gate receipts, merchandise and catering sales? In 2014 they had income of £238,000 making a profit of £11000, results previous year looked similar http://www.nairncountyfc.co.uk/documents/abb_accounts_2014.pdf

That potentially means they have some money to keep them going aswell. Wasn't sure if this was something that could have left the club in the shitter glad it doesn't look that way. welshbairn
Nairn have been outspending most of the league, but for maybe Brora, Cove and Formartine, with little to show for it. I hope they survive but it would be nice if they were no longer able to keep poaching Clach's best players. Same applies to Brora.
