JessieField
Anybody notice Michael Stewart saying after the Cup Final yesterday there will be no tv coverage of the Championship next season? Is this true? I might as well cancel my BT Sport subs if it's true.
mrpaddyx
BBC Alba will have a few games but Sky and BT won't be interested. This despite them both showing rubbish from the English lower and non leagues on a regular basis.
foreverarover
Stupid question. Of course There won't be silly boy , no servo ;-p
Skyline Drifter
I would be surprised if there was none given we will have Dundee United and Hibs. Its unlikely we will have much though. Clearly the vast majority of televised non Alba games before were Rangers ones. In fact did BT or Sky ever show a non Rangers game live since Hearts went up. The tv contract doesnt require them to show Championship games.

mrpaddyx
At least we won't have the ridiculous situation of having to pay Sky and BT to broadcast games. The crack team of negotiators at the SPFL mangaged to include a rebate for every game involving The Rangers not played at Ibrox. This is because of the difficult nature of broadcasting at venues not used to live football. (Forgetting the fact that Sky does this every year for the Scottish Cup when Celtic or The Rangers get an away tie at a lower league team!). liam_barnett
As has been mentioned I suspect that BBC Alba will have matches, it would be a bonus from a fans' point of view if there was none though!
djchapsticks
Good. f**k telly coverage. 3 bells on a Saturday is always where it's at.
Skyline Drifter
BT showed Falkirk v Hibs in January and Sky (for some reason) showed Hibs v Alloa in February.Forgot about that one. There was no English football that day (FA Cup and Sky have no rights for it) and it was part of a double header with Rangers visit to Palmerston. The presentation was from the studio at Palmerston.Wasnt aware of the Falkirk v Hibs one. I think both those games were picked about Xmas when it looked like there might be a genuine race for the title between Rangers and Hibs.
Frank Quitely
Was looking forward to watching Dumbarton v Ayr too! Heartening to know you don't need ancient Irish history set to music with your football.
Guest Flash
This article only mentions Premiership and play-off matches being included in the Sky/BT deal. http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/spfl-agrees-new-deal-with-sky-amp-bt/
Rugster
BT showed Falkirk v Hibs in January and Sky (for some reason) showed Hibs v Alloa in February. They were also due to show Hibs v Falkirk before it got moved from the Friday night when Hibs got to the SC semi final. The game that ended up 2-2. laughing gravie
Good. f**k telly coverage. 3 bells on a Saturday is always where it's at. That would be 6 bells. Bells are rung every 30 minutes from 4,8 and 12o'clock. But you are correct keep football live and soak up the misery first hand.
callum-ayr
Was looking forward to watching Dumbarton v Ayr too! They realised the showcase of Ayr v Forfar on our destroyed pitch on a pishing Saturday night in March just simply can't be followed.

Paco
Would be happy enough for none at all on TV tbh. We've had an absolutely scandalous amount of matches moved for TV in the past couple of years. What do BBC ALBA actually contribute in terms of payments? Doesn't even have the advantage of Sky/BT where a random punter might come across it and give it a watch. The only people who will watch are Scottish football fans. Is it at all worthwhile?
