Trying find old footage of some old junior games for my grandad and struggling to find anything my self My granddad played for Carluke rovers. 57/58 58/59 season. Does anyone know where I can find Old footage from that area ? He's said it was on bbc when they played Irving meadow in a semi final. I have tried bbc and said the footage has prob been deleted. So trying to find someone with the tape I could buy. He's doesn't have long left a would make a very old man happy if a can show him this before its to late ? Whoever told you that they did was ignorant of the reality. In any case there is no chance of finding the original film, it was done on 16mm filmstock and I tried 20 years ago to locate the film of a Kilsyth/Petershill game from 1959. It was apparently stored in a warehouse in the Finieston area which had a fire back in the 80's and much of the old film was destroyed. It was before the days of digital back-up so no chance of finding it. Also not many folk had video recorders back then so very much doubt if it would be available in that format either. Aye that's what I found as well. STV's Scotsport, in a Wednesday night programme in January 1965, showed highlights of Neilston v Kilwinning Rangers, the first junior league match under floodlights.
