No midweek fixtures for Girvan!

Can someone explain why Girvan are not being scheduled any midweek fixtures when Kello who are the farthest travelling team in the league have been handed 2 away games in 2 days this week?

Yes I know the Girvan fans are going to jump on here and point out that they were at Dalmellington last Wednesday night, but they are your near neighbours so wasn't a great hardship. Am assuming they struggle to put a team together or do they have someone at the SFA pulling strings for them.

The boys I spoke to today are not happy at the lack of midweek fixtures so I think it's an issue you need to take up with the SJFA.

Stop moaning while you're at it. Doesn't matter when teams play games everyone plays 22 sir. ;)

Oh dear! Tombo is clutching at any straw he can grasp. Obviously hoping that Girvan would drop points if they have to play midweek with a depleted squad.

But with a title to play for, I'd guess they would make sure everyone was available whereas Kello and Saltcoats wouldn't be so concerned.

Ourselves and Saltcoats weren't scheduled to play this Wednesday so John phoned up and asked why considering we still had each other to play. The SJFA then gave us the fixture. They thought we had already played Saltcoats twice but we hadn't. Crazy!

Tombo obviously doesn't fancy his sides chances to win it. Disappointed to see Vics moaning now as they have been respectful to everyone all season.

We had half a team today but still gave Girvan a tough game and they scored both their goals in the last 5 mins.

You are right Honestboy Girvan have 3 games left to their 1. They're still favourites in my book.

I'm with tombo on this one.

Not suggesting any conspiracy but there's no good reason why Girvan aren't playing midweek while we have to travel to Muirkirk on Monday and Kello to us on Wednesday.

For one, a single fan saying something isn't Vics being disrespectful to anyone.

I think the main point made here by tombo is the longer it takes Girvan to play their 2 games in hand(through no fault of their own) is the longer it takes for our trip to Craigmark to get assigned a date. Either that or we will have played all our games without knowing if we have won the league or not.

It is a bit ridiculous in my opinion, why not give them a game this midweek then the 2 following Saturday's?

Anyway good result today, again, I missed it through work but delighted nonetheless.

Mon the Vics!

You play craigmark next sat ,

Never even seen that honestboy, thanks.

Bit stupid that we will have played all of our fixtures and still have to wait for Girvan to play 2 games before we know if we're champions or not.

I'm with tombo on this one, It sounds like they have pulled a few strings at hampden and got there own way.

Ayr Victoria you sound bitter sir, Like a Wee bit of jealousy has creeped in at your teams lack of promotion

Will be nice to see your face when your beloved Balfour is snapped up for the new season by wait for it...Girvan

I can assure sir Balfour won't be going anywhere ;).

Irvine Vic's play Craigmark next week so maybe you'll know the outcome of Muirkirk do you lot a favour sir.

I agree though Girvan should have been a priority to catch up but the SJFA are a shambles with fixtures. Why can't we just get a full fixture card like the SPFL does each season allocating postponements at end of season like normal governing bodies.

You've to Agree though sir that if the lads scoring 40 a season then others must be looking at him?

I hope your right as he seems to be a cult hero for you guys

Why Girvan though? Surely bigger and better teams will come calling. No?

It happens. We finished our fixtures two seasons ago while Vics still had two games to play.

Girvans lack of midweek games this spring remains perplexing though.

Hey guys not really having a moan and was a bit tongue in cheek, but truth is was speaking to boys from Kello at our game today and they are raging. It was them who pointed out that in almost 8 midweek slots Girvan have had only 2 games whilst teams like Ardeer, Dalry have had 3 matches over 7 days.

Also they are so pissed off that they are willing to pay the fine for not fulfilling a fixture(v dalry)

AV 're our midweek game at Dalry. We expected to sit out a few midweek games to allow others,e.g. Girvan , the opportunity to catch up.

You know me, am good for a wind up but not snide with it. Have been respectful to all ADL teams and certainly not desperate. We done what we set out to do,gain promotion and with our neighbours joining us next year after their relegation, that's a bonus. A league title would be the cherry on top but if Girvan pip us at the end, I say well done to them.

I'm selfishly quite glad Girvan have no midweek game this coming week. We're missing Patterson and unsure when Allan or Mossie will be back

I saw Patterson down at the match today. How is he keeping? Smashing fella sir.
