avoiding the (big) Scottish Cup final

With the (big) Scottish Cup final being a proper 3pm Saturday fixture again this year (21st May), what's the thoughts whether some/all Junior games that day would shift to early KOs or even go to the Friday night / Sunday to get folks in, rather than competing with that on the telly?

I see that the East Of Scotland League has a full card of fixtures, all shifted to the Friday night. And the Ross-shire Welfare (normally 3pm Saturdays) are all 12:00 KOs just that one day.

My loyalty will always be Junior as is most posters here.Whats your problem. Who wants to watch a few overpaid foreigners on tv when we have true Scottish football played by mainly Scottish players Shove your Senior crap

Great idea

Even if there is no serious interest in the Senior game - a lot of potential customers for Junior games would stay away - Friday night would be excellent

I agree.A Friday evening match would be a good idea.Good chance of a few neutrals & senior game fans taking in a match!

Oh jazzy you old romantic. Hardly anyone watches junior football these days. No point ignoring the fact that a game like that will impact on even those reduced numbers. It's been an issue for west teams for years now that they are playing up against lunchtime tv football. So why would you not shift your kick off time to 1pm (or 5.30pm lol).

I am speaking for myself not anyone else

I get that. Presumably though you'd still go along if the start time was shifted by an hour. And if it meant a few more punters through the gate that would make sense to me.

I would still go along if my team was playing at midnight. BUT it's just not Junior football that's struggling for punters Senior football is as well.I suggest we move Junior football on to Play station as that is the only way we will attract younger support. Lol

I think a switch to Friday or Sunday is a great idea!

Grounds less than half full a lot of the time?

Genuinely the only teams who seem to be packing their stadiums on a regular basis are Rangers and Hearts. Celtic are lucky to get 30,000 and the other grounds are about half full as well.

Pricing is ridiculous tbh.

Nothing to prevent the 2 Clubs playing each other agreeing to a switch and then obtaining agreement from their respective League as has happened many times in the past.
