glasgow-sheep
http://www.channel4.com/news/conservatives-appear-to-have-overspent-on-three-by-elections Quite extraordinary report of Channel 4 News about systemic fraud in three English by-elections where it is claimed the spent tens of thousands over the legal limit and didn't declare it. Seems however there is a one year statutory limitation on these offences so they will probably get away with it. Story of having to bus in staffers to campaign due to lack of grass roots volunteers reminds me of Better Together and Scottish Labour.

Glenconner
Interesting about the staffers being bussed in. Last August in Glasgow there were 5 council by-elections on the one day. The Labour Party bussed workers up from as far away as Oxford.

Bishop Briggs
More dodgy Tory expenses - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36106036. "A former Liberal Democrat MP, who lost his seat to the Conservatives at the last general election, says the police should investigate the Tories' campaign spending. "The party has admitted that an "administrative error" meant it failed to declare thousands of pounds spent on hotels for activists on its battle buses. It said it had brought it to the attention of the Electoral Commission." "Adrian Sanders, who was ousted from Torbay by Conservative Kevin Foster, told Martha Kearney on Radio 4's World at One that the police should be involved." Wouldn't be surprised if this happened in other Tory target seats.

The Master
Apparently the SNP failed to properly declare Nicola Sturgeon's helicopter. If it was used to campaign for individual candidates (instead of just promoting overall party policies) part of the cost needs to be declared in those relevant constituencies. It was declared only as a national expense.
