don't know how it would work with a junior player.but heard the rose have a certain clause in his contract.suppose it will be so some bigger club doesn't get him for a pittance.as I say just heard.

He had a clause in his contract at Sauchie that of a senior team wanted him he could leave for he haw

I think we need to see him on a sustained basis at Linlithgow. He's far from guaranteed a starting jersey given the competition up front. But he has come in with the right attitude and if he keeps up the work rate he's shown so far he'll do just fine.

Would find it interesting to see what lithgi fans think of him keeping Strickland and Kelbie out of the team.

I'll make a prediction that his time at the Rose will not end well.

I think thats a bad prediction. He is keeping them out the team just now so he must be doing something right.

Considering we have played in 2 competitions since he has signed and he is cuptied for one of them that's a bit of a strange comment.

To be honest we haven't seen much of him yet but from what we have he looks good. We have a good mix with our strikers and all have their own style of play.

I am just saying he has played in 2 of the biggest games, so to come in and start shows the gaffer has faith in him.

He was excellent against Forfar and Ross County.

Agree with you in regards to the strikers, plenty options and great options in that department.

Like any new signing made by a manager - preference will initially be given. But both Kelbie and Strickland have proved their worth and would be an easy solution if Kelly doesn't produce.

He's different and that's helpful. Very direct player. Strickland is fantastic at holding the ball up, bringing others in and turning defenders. Kelly appears to like to run at them or off their shoulder. Coyne is good in the air and works brilliantly with Strickland in tight defences. Kelbie brings different options when he's on his game because he's a handful who likes to get the ball 20 to 25 yards out and pick his spot from there. We're looking well set up front - particularly with Roddy Maclennan getting ready to come back into the side. If we can close the gap in the league and keep guys fit we could still go close.

This thread might be better merged with the main Rose thread?

Agreed mate.

Was just looking to see what the lithgie fans thought of him. But suppose it is still early days.

In my opinion i think he is a cracking player and will do really well.

Have to agree with this, the Rose have the best selection of forwards in the league. Every one of them would start for any other club IMO. Once they get Roddy back it will take an extremely good team to stop them scoring.

Been around a bit, was with Falkirk, Shire and Kilsyth before playing 21s at Campsie. Then went to Sauchie.

He only played in two games at Kilsyth, as a trialist/on loan?, but certainly showed a lot of promise.Unfortunately we did not get the option of having him for a longer period.
