This should be on a thread of it's own but I think the weather has a part to play in declining supports. With the Winter months in Scotland getting wetter and longer and with inadequate facilities to alleviate that at most Junior grounds, an aging support can't be doing with getting soaked every week.

I agree with you regarding the weather ️️however regarding older people I would say that the decline in attendances is more towards our elderly fans passing away / going through poor health rather than them turning their back on us .

Young people arent replacing these guys and maybe it's because junior football through loads of reasons isn't seen as trendy and with very little fixture lists people make other plans and are lost to us.

It's a problem all football faces-the media perpetuate the view that outwith the Old Firm and the big English sides there isn't much worth paying attention to-add to that the lack of thought regarding fixture scheduling when we actually get it and ending up competing against televised club and international games and you can start to see why attracting fans to come out is an issue.

Sorry but I don't really get how a lack of a fixture list has a big impact on numbers. It's a pain for the club in organising things but if a bloke wants to go to the game on Saturday he doesn't make that decidion over a week ahead.

Gives the grade a haphazard and unprofessional image but it's more about what is on offer once there that's the issue.

Don't agree-in today's busy world people have a lot going on and to not know if there will be a game at all let alone where it is and against whom is a factor which will affect the decision to be there for quite a few.Not everyone I agree. There are so many other things available for people to do on a Saturday that we have to do everything to help our grade that we can.I think City Clubs have a particular issue as localised identity has all but disappeared.

totally agree wth this apart from the reason, nothing 2 do wth fixture lists or trends, purely most youngsters would rather stay in wth their ipads and tv rather than go out 2 a game

Still not won me over, I'm afraid. I just don't think that the average football fan diarises 7 days ahead.

But I do think Arthurlie will beat Darvel by three clear goals!
