Gala v Gretna

I have never been at a game and seen a team be so dominant, play such great football and get beat in such a manner!

The 2 goals that Gala conceded have to be seen to be believed, slapstick at its best with the same 3 cast members involved in both goals!

Despite the defeat I actually came away from the game buzzing at the Gala performance and quality of possession and football, with the 3 new signings who came on at the start of the 2nd half surely having cemented their places in next weeks starting lineup!

Things are looking up for Gala with all the new boys really looking good. The two recent signings in defence, Hope and Main were excellent along with debutants Scott, Hay and Steele, The youngest newish signing was Ross Lamb who played an excellent first half and is also full of promise!

I think it is admirable of Gala not just to be filling the team with journeyman and instead building what looks to be a bright future, also hopefully the new tie up with Hibs will bear more fruit!

Cant wait until the next next game, despite the defeat Gala were well worth the £5 entry fee!

Some kind of development loan deal with Hibs, I don't know the full details?

I wouldn't say I was happy with the defeat as nobody wants their side to get beaten and a win is the most important thing but you also want to be entertained and I felt that Gala did that for the majority of the game!

The 2 goals Gala conceded were a cringe, the 2nd being the worse of the two with the ball being rolled along the front of the goal at a snails pace and the Gala right back looking to have enough time to get down on his hands and knees and blow on the ball to stop it going in but instead chose to stand over it and watch it slowly roll up to the back post an topple over the line making no effort whatsoever to stop it!

These two incidents aside I thought Gala were very good and not really being in a title race or relegation battle I can live with the defeat as I can see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel!
