Grim O'Grady Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 East Kilbride vs Spartans With Kilby still buzzing about a certain upcoming Big Cup fixture I'm sure they won't want to dwell on their last season fixture against us. Another thing they won't want to dwell on is the return of the Kilby slayer, Jack "the hat trick hero" Beesley. If you have not seen his goals then look up the footage you won't be disappointed (unless you are a Kilby fan) ????. I'm looking forward to the trip over for the match (& the soup). Hopefully the wind/rain/Gertrude or whatever the storm is called (see Mickey's blog for full details) won't hamper play or the rolling cameras. Overall the standard of play on show was ok and the goal was a great finish by the Spartans striker. Based on what I'd read on here and cup scores I was expecting more football by EK. They've obviously done very well. They weren't likely to be able to dominate like last year but to have won so many games to this stage is very impressive. I haven't seen them this season, I'm merely going by other people who have and claimed on this forum that they don't play good football- just effective football. Can't see that being the case though- if they didn't play good football they surely couldn't have won as many games over the last two seasons?
