underdogunderdog underdog
Anyone heard any decent albums so far this year? I'm looking forward to The Last Shadow Puppets one.
Ira Gaines
David Bowie's is good. Don't suspect it'll be in a top 10 by the half year point if it's a good year, but it's a good way to start.
11thHour
Looking forward to Dystopia from Megadeth which is out this Friday.
GrahamJags
The new Daughter album will most likely be on my year end list. Phenomenal record. Can't think of any new releases due this year other than Ryan Adams and Brian Fallon that I'm looking forward to. I'm probably forgetting about a lot though. carpetmonster
Emma Pollock and De Rosa's new ones, both out this month. Other than that I've no clue, completely lost track of things. I presume The Cure will be putting something out given they're touring this year, off to see em in June.
thelocalcat
Was excited for the new shadow puppets album but if 'bad habits' is anything to go by it might be a little disappointing. Full expect the new Fat White Family to be in my top 5 of the year so at least I've got one to look forward too.
Savage Henry
The new Daughter album will most likely be on my year end list. Phenomenal record. Can't think of any new releases due this year other than Ryan Adams and Brian Fallon that I'm looking forward to. I'm probably forgetting about a lot though. Read that as Ryan Adams and Jimmy Fallon. Which would probably be quite good.

Smurph
The new Daughter album will most likely be on my year end list. Phenomenal record. Agree with that. Cracking album. 1. Animal Collective - Painting With 2. Kendrick Lamar - untitled unmastered. 3. Kanye West - The Life of Pablo 4. Daughter - Not to Disappear 5. David Bowie - Blackstar
Ira Gaines
Aye, add me to the list that like Daughter's. I've not been a fan of them previously, but I enjoyed this. Panic at the Disco's is better for me. Just a pure fun pop record. So I now have a top three! 1. Panic at the Disco - Death of a Bachelor 2. Daughter - Not to Disappear 3. David Bowie - Blackstar Need to finish with Avantasia's album, but it's pretty much certain to be slotting in above Bowie. Pet Shop Boys announced a new album, and the single from it, Inner Sanctum, is a bit of a scorcher. So now have that to look forward to.

Savage Henry
The first Daughter record was dull as ditchwater. I'd need to be seriously convinced it was a radical departure. Can anyone do that?

This album is my first ever exposure to Daughter and it's really bloody good. Listen to this and see what you think.
young_bairn
Radiohead album surely incoming in the next few months. Headlining festivals all over the place.
mighty meadow
Not a bad start to the year ... 1 Yorkston / Thorne / Khan - Everything's Sacred 2 Federico Albanese - The Blue Hour 3 Tortoise - The Catastrophist 4 Sea Pinks - Soft Days 5 Daughter - Not To Disappear First 2 have a good chance of being on my 'end of year' list. 3 & 4 need a few more listens but I would doubt if they are still there at the end of the year. Few good tracks on #5 but not enough to have any real chance of a Top 10 finish.
underdogunderdog underdog
Night Thoughts by Suede is decent enough but I doubt it will end up in my top 10.
GrahamJags
Only listened to three new releases this year so far and they've all been great. 1. Daughter - Not To Disappear 2.
