The Team That Vanished

Any Gretna fans able to help me out?

Having done something similar on Football Manager to what happened to Gretna I have become very interested in the rise of Gretna through the leagues.

Sky made a documentary on the rise and fall of Gretna last year called 'The Team That Vanished' and I was wondering if anybody either has the footage or knows where I could find it?

*insert joke about me being a Rangers fan here*

It's not exactly what you're looking for but I recorded a podcast with Davie Irons a month or so after the documentary came out. He talks a lot about his time at Gretna, his relationship with Rowan Alexander and Brookes Mileson, and what happened when they club went into administration.

Lots of good stuff about Morton and Stenny in there too.

CLICK.

Cheers, I'll have a listen now.

Also, are you Craig Telfer who's sometimes on Heart and Hand from Tell him hes Pele? If so I love your input when you're on it.

Gretna didn't vanish, there's still a team called Gretna.

You'd think a Gers fan would know that.

I think the crucial point here is that, unlike supporters of The Rangers, anybody associated with Gretna 2008 is at pains to distance themself from Gretna FC and to stress that it's a new club.

Yeah man, I'm asked to pop on from time to time, always good fun. Good to hear you've enjoyed them.

Could we try and keep this on topic? Really wanting some help getting this footage. Does anyone know if there's any way I could go about contacting Sky for the footage if nobody on here knows of anyone or anywhere to find it?

Imagine there would be. It was readily available through their 'on demand' service.

I've got the documentary saved on my Sky+ box. No idea how to transfer it onto another medium, though.

Somebody who understands this new fangled technology will no doubt be along shortly to tell you how to do it.

Not me, though!
