Fifth Round Draw

Recommended Posts

All gets underway at 18:15 on Monday evening, folks. Hope you all get the draw you're hoping for.

Ex-Rangers, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Chelsea star Brian Laudrup and William Hill World Darts champion Gary Anderson will help make the William Hill Scottish Cup fifth round draw on Monday evening at Hampden Park.

Laudrup lifted the famous trophy in 1996 in a 5-1 win over Heart of Midlothian in which he scored two goals.

During his time in Scotland, he won the SFWA Footballer of the Year in 1995 and 1997, and the SPFA Players’ Player of the Year in 1995. He was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

The former Denmark international also won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and UEFA European Championship as a player.

He will be joined by Gary Anderson, the PDC World Darts Champion, who retained his title earlier this month at Alexandra Palace.

Scottish FA President Alan McRae will conduct the draw which starts at 6.15pm and is live on Sky Sports News and Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.

After this weekend's results we've got a chance of doing well in this tournament, given a kind draw. Obviously the winners of the EK and Linlithgow matches are prizes, but we should expect to comfortably progress against Annan as well; Dumbarton are similar to our previous opponent; Hibs are shite; Kilmarnock and Dundee United really aren't formidable opponents from the top flight but that's where I'd draw the line at the moment. Despite having beaten Motherwell earlier this season I'd fully expect them to turn us over now. To have a minimum of seven ties with a decent chance of progression is pretty good at this stage though.

Hopefully a home tie to a lower league, or non league club. We need a cup run this season and a home tie against Linlithgow Rose or East Kilbride would be grand.
A lower league team shagged hamilton 4-1 and another lower league team were unlucky not to beat the Champions so don't expect an easy game from any league 1/2 (the non league teams are fucking dreadful at best so yous should hump them.)
