Stranraer v Celtic

I am hoping to get over for this match on 10/1/16

Anyone know how i can get my hands on a couple of tickets

I live over in castle Douglas (usually get over to 3/4 games a season) so can just nip over to buy tickets

Cant make game v Ayr as already planned to go to Kilmarnock v Hearts that day (ticket pre-ordered and train fare paid)

If i have to i will jump the 500 bus sun/mon and grab a few pints of the usually excellent real ale in the Grapes (but as this is

a 4 hour round trip its a last resort)

be grateful for any ideas

All Celtic fans whether local or not must apply to get Tickets from Celtic. Any Celtic fans found in home sections will be ejected. Be warned. Capacity unfortunately reduced by H&S bods again. Ground holds 5600 as it hasnt changed much since 2001 when the two teams last met in a Scottish Cup-Tie. However probably be reduced to around 4200 for this game. about 1500-1700 tickets to stranraer fans. who will get main south stand and small terrace to left. All Celtic fans get behind both goals and the terracing next to either side of the north stand(cooshed) + plus 400 seats in the cooshed. So 3/4 of the ground will uncomfortably look green...lol..yuk.

No public sale has been announced for STRANRAER fans yet as they are still sorting out season ticket, supporters clubs and members just now.

Dont turn up looking for a ticket you won't get one or won't be allowed close to the ground either. Phone Stranraer FC if you are supporting Stranraer or contact the Stranraer FC social club. www.stranraerfc.org

Celtic fans apparently can still get tickets from their ticket office here:

Correct, not on the Beeb, who is suspended for Sellick are Gordon,Cifti and Bitton all out,Gordon and Cifti from last season and Bitton from Saturday hope so.

Aye, Gordon and Ciftci suspended for this one. I'm sure Biton just has to serve his suspension in the league games.

We've Brown, Boyata, Mulgrew and Armstrong all out as far as I'm aware.

Expect to see Scott Allan and Carlton Cole get a run out.

Could be 2 youngsters in goals then. Experienced goalkeeper David McGurn who is on loan from Raith Rovers got toe broken on Saturday so is struggling big time for the match. Might be young Max Currie in goals unless Brian Reid gets an emergency loan deal for an experienced keeper.

Am hearing that the live broadcast commentators won't actually be in the stadium, but miles away watching a live feed.

Apparently this is because Celtic were concerned about the space taken up by the gantry and the effect it would have on their total allocation.

Not sure if serious.

But if you are, it's obviously bullshit. The commentators will be on the same gantry as the main cameras in a setup not dissimilar to that found on a semi-permeant basis at Hamilton.

Ian Crocker has been tweeting about being at Stair Park tomorrow so I suspect you may be wrong

A win is a must for Celtic. Yes it'll be a tricky pitch and weather conditions to match, not to mention this will be Stranraer's cup final, so their players will be pumped up for this and out to claim a massive upset...or even a replay to play at Celtic Park, however this is the pressures that are the norm for Celtic and we should overcome them.

Failure to win will poss see Ronny shown the door. A defeat will def see him say bye bye!

Predicting a scrappy 2-0 win for the Hoops!
