A pair of braces sees us being pulled up the league.

Another terrific Spartans performance sees us up to 3rd in the league.

We were definitely licenced to thrill in an 007 performance. There was a lot of Miss money-Penny Pit for the Prestonians pressed well into their own 1/2 for the majority of the game.

Connor Durhie had his best ever performance but there was plenty others who stood out today. Grinchy being played in his best position again showed what a class act he is. Greenhill is continuing to improve & become a vital piece of the Spartans jigsaw. Hovie outstanding but we've come to expect that. PTee & Malone solid & I'm not sure how long Big MaC is out for injured but he may find it very difficult to get his place back.

Gazza Chen fit as a fiddle, what a blessing to have him back if only for a short time. Herdy is better suited to our flat smooth pitch but he pitched in well today. Aaron & Beefy both pure class & both on the score sheet. I felt a bit sorry for Flocks but hey thems the breaks. Blair had very little to do, but kept his concentration to ensure no last minute consulations.

The subs Deano, Ewan & Sean all came on & put themselves about. Great to see.

I see City got a lucky win at home too but we are still playing catch up with the jammy beggars. I heard Oor Moose was on the scoreboard for the Citeh again.

"I'd rather have a lucky general than a good general"- Napoleon Bonaparte.

At least we don't have to go borrowing players from bigger teams to win games either...

I'll just put that rumour to bed. We have not got Napoleon Bonaparte on loan at Spartans, yes we did look into his availability pre-season but unfortunately couldn't agree terms.
