paleface
Good Luck to Lothian and hope it gets played first time of asking Have to think Lothian are Favourites as Huntly are almost bottom of their league but never easy going up there
whatasaw
ay good luck to LTHV but they should win this with ease given current form and correct Huntly are struggling goin by their league position they are 3rd bottom only won 3 games all season

paleface
mixed thoughts on the result thought LTHV would win with ease but a draw away up there is never a bad result and im sure the lads will trounce Huntly at home
HibeeJibee
Don't know how the game went, who if anyone was on top etc, but having gone behind - indeed trailed at HT - I suspect they'll be content with a replay at Saughton on Saturday (or midweek thereafter depending on weather / pitch). They'll also know their potential R4 opponents by then.
geo87
Out of interest - how Many of the first team squad have came through from hutchie vale youth? Seems like an excellent conveyor belt of talent to the big clubs
surely not!
Out of interest - how Many of the first team squad have came through from hutchie vale youth? Seems like an excellent conveyor belt of talent to the big clubs It is. But by conveyor belt you mean it was built elsewhere then popped on the Hutchie vale belt at a later stage. Cherry pick central. Always feel uneasy at how some coaches will actively and aggressively pursue young kids to move club.
Mr Tee
Just seen brief highlights... How on earth the boy was sent off for a dive late in the game I'll never know. For me that's a penalty, but even if the the refs thinks it's soft surely he can't possible think it's a dive. Refs had a shocker and the lino hasn't helped either. Always think when it goes to a replay the underdog has missed their best chance to go through, hope I'm wrong.

Seems like an excellent conveyor belt of talent to the big clubs would be even better if they were eligible for the lowland league as they keep losing their best players who dont want to keep playing in the EOS league

I'm sure there is an element of what you say but there's loads who are at hutchie from 4-14 who then go pro youth etc. It's up to parents to decide who they want to play for. As for game lthv were nervous first half so Huntly edged it. They were very much a long ball team. They lost about 5 balls booting it everywhere. Second half Lothian were better team and would fancy them at home. Really surprised how poor Huntly were and lack of local support for them. Hope LTHV GET THROUGH AND CASH IN ON THE NEXT ROUND if they cant get the facilities sorted this year to get into the lowland league they never will !!!!! great conveyor belt but last season 5 of their best players had to leave as playing in the EOS pub league is no good for players trying to improve ps Im sure none of those players wanted to leave but had no choice especially when EOS went to 1 league as most of those teams are total kak

MadSounds
I was at the match on Saturday, really enjoyed my day out. I've been following a match in every round and writing a blog to chart my journey. Saturday was the fifth time I've watched them in the Cup. Here's my view of the day if anyone's interested - https://scottishcupadventure.wordpress.com

Yeah it's difficult to see how saughton could host it with this weather and forecast.
