Anthony Fitzgerald
With Alloa suffering another defeat yesterday, that makes it 12 defeats out of 15 in the league. Only winning one game way back at the start of September and only scoring 1 goal in their last 6 games, does that put them in contention for the worst championship/first division team of all time? Will they be worse than the Morton team of 2012/2013? Are they already worse? And how can Danny Lennon turn this around?

Marshmallo
Brechin had some abysmal teams a few years back when they had their one and done efforts every few years. I remember beating them 5-0 at Ochilview with a crap Falkirk team.

LIVIFOREVER
They are the only team in the league not to have beaten us, we've only played once right enough so there's still time.
Waspie
The points tally certainly grim at this stage and there have been some grim performances, last week particularly poor by all accounts. However, we have also lost a lot of games narrowly and we gave the league's form team a tough game yesterday. I don't think the league is that strong this season and I'm still hoping that we will be able to pick up a few more wins. The worst tally I can recall is 15 from Arbroath in 2002/03. We were down struggling with them until Christmas but we then found some form, aided by two great loan signings, and ended up with 35 points. There is still hope. The upcoming league game with Dumbarton is massive.

Sinclair Street
Nothing to worry about. You're already half way to Clydebank's grand total of 10 points back in 99/00 season.
Wilky1878
What points were Morton on at this point two years ago? And it's probably worth noting that rangers and hibs weren't in the League at the time aswell
ICTChris
During the time that ICT were in the First Division the worst team were Clydebank during our first season up, 1999/00. Ten points, one win all season. You can forgive them though, they were pretty much going out of business at the time. We just missed Anelka's Raith. They got 15 points, unsure how many under Anelka though.
Benjamin_Nevis
As stated, Clydebank before they went tits up, Anelka's Rovers and the likes of Stranraer have dropped down with diabolical points tallies. I can't be fucked googling it, but i reckon Stranraer's awful season was the same one where they lost 8-1 to Airdrie and ended up with 7 men. After going 1-0 up. Wilky1878
Just checked and after 15 games Morton were on 9 points two years ago. I think a fairer comparison may be after 18 games though as we still have Dumbarton and livi to play. After 18 games Morton were still on 9. This would mean alloa picking up 4 in the next 3 games (Dumbarton, Livingston and St Mirren)
Scosha
It'd be a fairly decent achievement to be worse than our team of 13/14.
Francesc Fabregas
All things taken into consideration, I reckon Morton's team of 2013-14 are the worst second-tier side of the last 20-odd years. They were an absolute gang, and the way the season finished with the 10-2 loss to Hamilton Academical was a disgrace. Chuck in boys like Kenny Shiels, Garry O'Connor and Rowan Vine (not to mention Dougie Rae's comments at the end of the season) and it was a complete catastrophe. Boghead ranter
We we horrendous 95/96, the old First Division. 1) Jim Fallon, Dumbarton 1995-96 Dumbarton started the 1995-96 Scottish First Division season well, winning their first two matches. An hour before their third fixture, against Dunfermline, they appointed Fallon as manager (strangely his assistant, Alastair McLeod, was the brother of his predecessor, Murdo). They lost that game 4-0, and it was downhill from there. In fact, though Fallon was in charge for 34 of the 36 games that season, his team won more points from the other two. They finished with 11, 25 fewer than the next worst team. As any reasonable person would expect, the board acted immediately - offering Fallon a new contract. "I feel that it was an unfair playing field for us as we were up against it financially," he moped of the dismal season. "The aim now will be to stabilise the club and make a determined effort to get back up." Fallon's determined effort the following season amounted to one win from 12 games, eight of which - including his last five - were lost. He left in November. In all, Boghead enjoyed only one home win in Fallon's 14 months in charge and his overall league record reads: Played: 46. Won: 2. Drawn: 5. Lost: 39. Jim Fallon *shudder*

Sloop John B
That Morton team somehow got worse when they brought Kenny Shiels in. Making an already atrocious team filled with has beens and Jobbers like Nacho Novo and Kabba Cham and try making them play possession football with hilarious results. I remember Shiels threatening to sub the keeper because he keep playing it long. We almost won that game playing with 9 men for about 40 minutes.
