How can you say Broxburn very poor move?!

They're comfortable in super league--Armadale 3 points off the foot of premier and heading into oblivion by the looks of it!not a league win in over 3 months yet they made claims to bounce back up.district league looks more likely next season!

Goal machine?!

Not this season feeney ain't!

Check the stats sure you'll find Dalrymple scored 3 or 4 more this season with 12 or 13 and not an out and out striker.

Maybe why he's been snapped up quick for a lesser fee too,but no less a player imo .

Rules governing transfer fees relate to length of contract remaining, age and wages. The player can be an excellent player but if the remainder oh his contract is only a short period then the club can only ask a lower transfer fee, when the contract expires the player is free to move on without a transfer fee

Surely is a player is under contract the club don't need to sell him and if they did they can ask for any fee they want ? Out of contract then no fee I agree

But surely if a team buys a player then the player won't be at the previous club to serve out his contract? So you want 5k for feeney as that's what he'll get from the Dale til the end of his deal? If he is sold tmrw you won't have paid him 5k so I don't get that logic.

I'm not having a go at you I just think if that's the rule then it's a crazy one.

Agree super bathgate--

Contract situation illogical and both guys appear to have been very loyal but went with new contracts in the summer believing club could win the league having just went down on penalties!

Both disillusioned now and Dalrymple sought by more than one super league even in the summer.

Feeney being penalised by dale playing hard ball but they will miss Dalrymple and struggle to stay up.

Very surprised hendo still there tbh??!

He must be "the very special one" as even Jm got the bullet yesterday!

When a player leaves a club he has to be replaced and I the last few years the Dale tried to buy players and when you consider what clubs are asking plus players signing on fees it can cost several thousand pounds. Clubs have to be careful as having paid a transfer fee at the end of the players contract they get nothing.

yes they could refuse the transfer but the player would probably leave at the end of his contract and the club would get nothing and it costs money to replace him

he has to be replaced and that costs money that's the way the world is. The players have been excellent and loyal to the Dale as the Dale has been to them, unfortunately both lost nearly a season through serious injuries and the club done all they couldto help them through a bad time in their careers

The two players have done well for the dale . In robbies case any serious bid( one that allows the player to be replaced ) the club will look at . However clubs trying to buy players from the dale for peanuts are no more . If any off the players were to have a career ending injury tomorrow the dale would be duty bound to pay up the contract amount in full , however if the player is tapped up the club should let them go to the cheapest offer is laughable . Wish Darren all the best with his new club . Hopefully Robbie can be settled shortly as it's not fair on the player .
