Talbot Bing
Excellent 2nd half display from Talbot. Showing true grit determination and belief when other teams would have buckled. I think we showed them too much respect from the start and the ref didn't help when he should have booked a couple of Hurlford players. Never write off the Talbot! Talbot Bing
That makes a change ,a ref favouring the away team at the Talbot Ref been kind to Talbot is never something I see. Quite the opposite but TBH if you were at the game you would have seen he made a few duff decisions. In the end the result was down to who wanted to win it more. I would call it Playing for the Jersey.
btw lads
I must say as a neutral being at this match today, it was a credit to junior football, it had everything and was end to end right to the wire, tremendous performance by talbot, vintage, they didn't know when they were beat! energyzone
I just can't stop laughing at the incredibly imaginative and original spelling of "Hurlford" in the thread title.

happy
we lost some goals today through terrible defending.that said it was a great game for everyone to enjoy except if you support or involved with hurlford. the neutral loved it because it was end to end stuff and you just didn't know what would happen next. everyone connected to Talbot loved it because it showed everything that we are all about.talbot havn`t been at their best the last few weeks which makes this result and the way it was executed a wee bit special. don`t usually single anyone out but butch will not forget his last two headed goals in a hurry. as for the hurlford players they will never have an ounce of what we have the way they choose to play the game. NE63 exile
Thought it was a very entertaining game for the neutral. Hurlford were out of the traps quick but just couldn't kill the game off when they had the chance twice. Only looked one winner in the end for me as Talbot finished strongly. Think the comments about the Ref are a bit way off the mark too. He was getting stick from both sets of fans. Not an easy game to Referee in any sense and he got the major decisions all correct
FitbaFan92
Hurlford have conceded too many late goals , need to stop conceding they goals to have a chance of winning the league !

Some of the hurlford players though get all worked up when they don't get their own way.they cant handle it and you can see the atmosphere in the team change when the palpitations start for the wrong reasons. would say the lines lassie got it wrong chopping of the goal for offside.I was up by the pie hut at the time and she got pelters for it although that is not a reflection on the ref`s performance. she took it like a lines man. southerner
Big Mark is going for a scan tomorrow, however the early signs are not good, he also has a history of serious knee injuries during his long career. Fingers crossed that the big man kicks a ball again

ex-german exile
Wish I had been at the game as a neutral, then I could have enjoyed it. Thought Ford controlled the first half and then got sloppy just before half-time; they should be able to see a game out (even at Talbot) when they were 3-1 up on the hour mark. Stupid challenge for the penalty and then Talbot got their tails up, Hurlford lost the midfield and you know the rest. Worrying trend in the league that we have lead in every match this season, yet dropped 11 points - add to that drawing two cup matches after being 2-0 up and it's not difficult to see where our problems are coming from. I thought the ref had a fair match, but I have to say that I couldn't see how the Talbot header from the free-kick was offside and thought both assistants were a little flag happy, but I'd probably rather have that than the assistants who wait to see what the ref gives before flagging.
