East Region website

Just been on this 'informative' website. Checked out the link section. Ballingry Rovers - how are they doing? Oh wait a minute, They're aff the game and have been for a while. Why then is there still a link on ersjfa.com? Amateurish if you ask me. Still to check if there are still links for Halbeath, Rosslyn Juniors, Dunnikier Colliery, Elie Thistle and Steelend Vics. XXXX me - Steelend Vics are still listed! Come on Mr Webmaster - show a wee bit enthusiasm, please.

Junior fitba followers are, in the main, really passionate about this level of the game. It would be great if the association could share the same passion. Just sayin', like.

All websites are the same. Links is one of the last things that needs updated on a website. Simple- click on the link and it doesn't work then type Google in the address bar, type the name of the club and then you will find out if site has changed, club has gone, etc etc. Its fair to say the East site is streets ahead of West in terms of updates, results, tables, games on/off only the North beats it in terms of news but I think the East Region site is better than them both. Its a PT job and priorities have to come in to play

In a lot of cases, any links pages on websites either need to be checked for each individual link to check that the website in question is still live, or the relevant clubs need to liaise changes.

I recently contacted the ERSJFA webmaster to inform him of a change to our website url and this was actioned swiftly.

But I know our links page will need work because I haven't had time or chance to go through each individual link to check that club's website is still live.

Having built and run a few websites links pages are more trouble than they are worth and I'd never have one. These days most people are pretty proficient at using Google, so it's kinda redundant (other than helping those sites in their search engine rating). That said, if all anyone can find to moan about is an out of date links page I reckon whoever runs that site is doing pretty well.

This sites great for getting the results/league positions on saturdays. They're usually pretty quick on getting them online. I watch a few teams in the east and In the winter the games that are called of are on here early so you have time to change your game..

Agree, Jez, that some teams change their addresses and it's up to the clubs to inform the association if they do this but FFS links to deid clubs should be deleted from ERSJFA site.

Results & tables are updated pretty quickly after the final whistle. Given there was nothing at all a few years back, we're doing OK

Half five - that is one hour and 45 minutes after full-time and still no results up yet. Define 'pretty quickly'.

They're all up now. And as @ftsc0res is now just putting his classified on twitter, I'm going to guess that there was a delay in getting some results. Less than two and a half hours after the final whistle. We'll define that as 'pretty quickly' and then see what happens over the coming weeks
