Yes well done EK, certain posters on another thread said the HFL had an edge over the LL. This result will bring it closer. The same said critics of the LL also stated how 2 made up teams with no tradition shouldn't be near LL standard Well they're certainly starting to make their own history now Well done lads and good luck to you and the Colts in the next round. Strathman
I make it 15 meetings between Highland League and Lowland League teams in the Scottish Cup. The score is 10-5 to the Highlanders. There was also the play off ties at the end of last season when Brora beat Edinburgh City.

HibeeJibee
Brora and Edinburgh City actually drew twice in the playoffs. You don't count penalty shoot-outs when considering a head-to-head!! Since LL launched, these are the mutual results. As I said last weekend it's clear that parity has yet to be reached: HL wins (11) '15-16, R1 ... Preston 2-3 Fort William '15-16, R1 ... Nairn 5-1 Selkirk '15-16, R1 ... Fraserburgh 3-2 Dalbeattie '15-16, R1 ... Formartine 3-1 Gretna '15-16, R1r ... Whitehill 2-3 Wick '15-16, R2 ... Inverurie 2-1 Edinburgh Uni '15-16, R2 ... Edinburgh City 1-2 Buckie --------------------------------------------------------- '14-15, R3 ... Edinburgh City 2-3 Brora --------------------------------------------------------- '13-14, R1 ... Selkirk 1-3 Turriff '13-14, R1 ... Brora 1-0 Vale of Leithen '13-14, R2r ... Fraserburgh 2-0 Edinburgh City Draws (5) '15-16, R1 ... Wick 2-2 Whitehill '15-16, R2 ... East Kilbride 2-2 Forres --------------------------------------------------------- '14-15, PO ... Brora 1-1 Edinburgh City '14-15, PO ... The Mantis
I make it 15 meetings between Highland League and Lowland League teams in the Scottish Cup. The score is 10-5 to the Highlanders. There was also the play off ties at the end of last season when Brora beat Edinburgh City. The LL is catching up though. Back in the day when Caley and Elgin were in the HL, they would expect to brush off EOS opposition by about 5-0 as Caley did to Spartans in 86. Even Inverness Jags beat Strollers 3-1 just before the merger.
